Godzilla all over AMC

If you're a Godzilla fan and happen to be sitting around today, you are in luck!  It appears that AMC (the American Movie Classics channel) is playing all sorts of the big lizard movies back to back today!  I just caught the last half of Godzilla VS the Sea Monster, and now they're playing Godzilla VS Monster Zero.  This one will be followed up by the o.g. Godzilla from 1956.  

I would assume that similar to how they've been playing the Halloween movies (and other horror classics) all week, these will probably repeat again this weekend.

I'm not bashing what AMC is showing.  I'm bashing the channel as a whole for their mindless editing/commercial showing/time compression they do on a lot of their films.  When AMC didn't show commercials, they were a fine channel.  But, once they bit into that pie, things went downhill in a hurry.  

For example, when AMC was showing the original cast Star Trek films, the sound was awful, since they relied on "time compression" to fit the movie in the time frame allotted for it.  The music was out of key, the dialogue didn't sound right.

If I want my classic movie fix, I'll go to TCM.  Or rent.
