And what did you expect?  Your post was very specifically directed at Canadians, what with the we's and our's.  Therefor you reply to not getting attention from non-canadians by being insulting?!  Yeah what ever, eh.   Happy canadian thanksgiving, you knob.

My 4 year old yesterday told me that Thanksgiving and Christmas are all about family getting together.   God bless her sweet little heart!  Have a good one Arc!

P.s. Is the Canadian version similar to ours South of the Border? Ie, Same reasons for starting it/etc.  Curious is all.

Basically, yes. The common belief is that we're more north, and harvest comes sooner, that thanksgiving happens earlier in the year.

Since no one said "Happy Thanksgiving" to you in a timely manner, your response is too insult the forum in general? Seems to be an odd, needy approach.

And Beavers. How could you forget those? Tongue But yep, we're further north, so it gets colder quicker, the harvest happens sooner, and so we celebrate it earlier. I'm surprised this year though as it seems fairly warm for this time of year. We're used to it snowing by the time Halloween comes around. The Northern States could just as easily celebrate it in October due to the similar conditions.

That is correct.  As a matter of fact, the Pilgrims actually hid from the Indians when they initially showed up on a Wednesday. When Thursday rolled around, they strolled back into the settlement and acted surprised to see the natives.

...then we gave them smallpox when they weren't looking.
