I'm going to a 666 party where we'll be consuming hot appetizers and red/flaming drinks.

But I'm all for that day.  I'll participate.

Does anyone else remember that story from last year or so about the number 666 being a mistranslation, and it is really supposed to be 616?

I guess Satan lives in Michigan.

Welcome here, the squirrel-wheel begins
fasten the left hand belts
Remember not to think too much
and your trip will be numbingly pleasant

Non-caring is the easiest way
but to secure a passage to the 2nd plane
you have to complete level one
Their dead-smile lips turn on their TV
while urban gravestones scrape the skies
Rising over marionette cities and marionette skies

Can we change it to kill an emo day?  I hate these people that mope around like the world is against them.  It really pisses me off that most of them come from families that are either wealthy or at least middle class.  Make them homeless for a day, make them starve, make it so they cant afford to buy women's pants.  It makes me sad that this is what are society has come to.

Woe to you oh earth and sea, for the Devil   (no not our Devil) sends the beast with wrath because he knows that time is short.

Let thou who hath understanding reckon the number of the beast, for it is a human number.

It's number is six hunderd and sixty six.

Apparently modern consumerism is the beast? Who would have thought

Well, for the record, I think it should also be noted that Kate is coming home to video again on 6.6.06.

there was something on history channel last year about it being mis numbered.  Like the original translation is off or something or other.  i cant remember what.  They said that numerology was REALLY big back then.  And while 666 does work for the emporer at the time, it seems that a few other numbers which look like it SHOULD have been fit as well.

National Day of Slayer
6.6.06 isn't a date that comes around very often (once per millennium, to be exact), and while plenty of stupid horror movies and terrible albums will be released for the hype value of the day that bears "the number of the beast", we here at NDoS decided that this would be a perfect day for Hessians across the country to come together and engage in something upon which we can all agree - listening to Slayer! Also, do you really want those evangelical Neo-Cons to have all the fun with their "National Day of Prayer"?

Once per millenium?  How about 2666?  What about the 6th of every month in 2066?  Now I realize they are talking about 06/06/06, but 666 will occur rather more frequently than claim.

BTW, why did they completely ignore 06/01/06?

Even if you only do it their way, it's still once per century, not once per millenium.  1906, 2106, both qualify for "06/06/06".

I'm relieved that I'll finally get a chance to see this movie. I didn't see it in theatres and spent months trying to get it off the internet with no luck. Finally the wait is over.  Cool

That can't be the Devil's kid. The Anitchrist would weigh in at 6.6 kilograms. Now that baby would be the Spawn of Satan. At least, that's what mom would be thinking. Yowza.

You are still skipping the year "66".  So depending on whether you like doing your date as MMDDYY or DDMMYY, you are going to have a lot of "666" days: either the sixth of every month, or the entire month of June (010666, 020666, 030666, etc).  MMDDYY would give you 12 extra days from that year, or DDMMYY would give you 30 more days.

Numerology is all bullshit anyhow.

No.  You're skipping over the fact that folks are talking about the numbers that correlate to 666.  Not 10666, 20666, or some other variation with 666 in it.
