Oh, ta Aenima.  A deal with Sky means we'll probably be no more than a week behind you guys when the show airs, which is awesome.  I'd rather it was the BBC but at least I know we're getting it now.

Ha!  Five minutes later, I was watching Sky and saw an advert for a new channel, Atlantic, starting in February which is to be the home of HBO's world class television.

I am amazed at how completely in sync this world is to what I had pictured in my mind's eye from reading the books.  Looks brilliant...can't wait for it to come out on DVD.

With the teasers they've shown I don't think they've shown The Wall yet.  Of all the visuals from the books, The Wall is the one where special effects are going to have the hardest time living up to my mental picture.

Ghost makes an appearance,  but he's a beautiful white German Shepherd,  not a Wolf.

I don't think it's a German Shepherd. It's a special dog bred to look wolf-like without actually being part wolf. There are strict regulations about working with wolves, so they have limited options. I suspect the direwolves will become CGI in later seasons, but for this one they're still very young.

Yeah, Littlefinger does look perfect.  I was also happy to see them hint at how they're going to connect the main continent storyline to Dany's.  I wasn't sure how tv audiences would accept a plotline that was so far away from really converging with the main one, but if they tie them together as in the trailer it looks like it'll work just fine.

Without giving much away, he was the Master of Coin and also a master manipulator pulling strings with pretty much every player in the game.  Was also a childhood friend of Ned's wife Caetlyn and her sister Lysa.

The Danish dude, Nicolai Coster Waldau is pretty damn cool as well - nicely casted as the Jaime. I wasnt sure at first, but seeing this? nice!

Most of the casting looks decent.  Bran looks like a girl to me, almost like a young Kate Winslet.  It kind of bugs me but I'm sure I'll get over it.  The one I don't like the look of is Jon Snow.  He's also kind of too pretty or something.  I originally thought it was this guy who I thought looked great, but it turned out he was the producer (David Benioff)!  The Daenarys dye job looks a little off to me, but someone assured me her hair was supposed to look that way.  They forgot to dye her eyebrows though.
