here is the trailer for 28 Weeks Later.

http://www.apple.com/trailers/fox_atomic/28weekslater/

Looks good, a more big budget feel to it, no Danny Boyle directing though, but I have high hopes for this, as long as they don't get silly with it and start making it TOO unbelievable.

Looks cool. Just hope it doesn't turn into the train-wreck that 28 Days Later turned into at the soldier compound.

i hope not too big budget - i didnt think the first one felt as "low budget" as it did real.  it was more gritty than the sterile, staged feel of hollywood.  less like acting, more like news footage.  in a warzone.  over satellite.  without nv.  contrast with the remake of dawn of the dead (which i still liked) - it was a set, it had special effects, airbrushed, made up faces etc etc etc.  all that stuff that makes a movie look "perfect" - but totally unrealistic.  anyone know what im talking about here?

(dont get me wrong i really like the many many movies like that - but for some reason 28 days later was an awesome movie exactly because it WASNT that - the setting worked really well for it)

My thoughts exactly.

I have a tiny hope for I Am Legend later this year, but considering they cast Will Smith in the lead role I am skeptical.

Wow, that actually looks good.

Notice that most of the scenes shown are primarily of the small group running.  Meanwhile the military ones seem there just to setup story points like the one where they decide to kill everyone.

And I like how one of the soldiers is actually a good guy this time.

One thing that makes me worry is that there's a lot of running and action scenes this time.  Making me think it's another "Escape from..." movie where it's all action running away from threats.  The orignal 28 days later had some downtime between events to rest, mourn, and ready for the next bit of action.
