So is anyone else watching this?  I am loving the show, this last episode was particularly good in my opinion, loved the Lord of the Rings Video... for your viewing pleasure  :  http://youtube.com/watch?v=SWf3iJjqYCM

The david bowie episode was really good as well.

My friend turned me on to it a couple weeks ago...

I didn't particularly care for it, until episode 4, with that "If you want me to" song.

Meh, I guess, from me.

Big fan myself. Different, but amusing. Murry is my favorite character easily, but the songs are usually the best part.

I enjoy it but the last two episodes had too much Murry, I like him but they need to keep the other characters on screen as well.  I liked Brett's croissant maker/Delta force sniper girlfriend who was about to ship out to Iraq  icon_lol.  Also the water polo team was great.

Yeah the episode with Brett's girlfriend who was about to ship out to Iraq was great.

And Ceekay, they already renewed for season 2.  If you have HBO, Tivo a few episodes and check it out.

I was so so on this for the first two episodes, but the Rhymnocerous vs. Hiphopopotomus made me see the light.  Even though we have Tivo and HBO on Demand, we watch this one live every Sunday.  I've been enjoying it more than Entourage this summer.
That said, HBO is gone again once Entourage and FoTC are over on Sunday.  No need for HBO until one of those shows is back on the air.  Was very happy to hear FoTC had been renewed!

Shh, she is a sniper.  Special Forces! ninja2

That was the first episode I've seen and I LOVED it.  The songs were great.  So surreal.

Apparently, it's not an HBO thing.  The network wanted them back, but writing a show and writing the songs just proved to be too much for the boys.

Of course, I'm sure now that they've established the tone of the show, I'm sure they could have hired writers.

Maybe they'll be back in a couple of years.

I was just thinking of the parallels between Flight and another of my comedy favorites, Fawlty Towers.  John Cleese and his wife doubled as both writers and actors in that series but after two successful seaons, they hung it up.    crybaby

I'm sad, but not heartbroken.  I didn't like season 2 nearly as much as season 1 for some reason.  Maybe because Business Time wasn't in any of the season 2 episodes.

I found I liked their stand-up routines (found on YouTube) better than the show.

I have to agree.  Maybe part of it was that I watched both seasons within a few weeks of each other on DVD, but the second one didn't seem nearly as good as the first.

And I'd have to say that Think About It is one of my favorites.

HAH, so funny...two years ago I didn't get it.

Love this series. And while I agree that season 2 was weaker than the first, I'm still saddened to hear it won't be back for a third frown

**edited to add**

My favorite is If You're Into It.

sad, but not unexpected.  i bet it takes them a while to write each episode and coming up with new material plus acting is a lot more work than they first thought it would be.

what, no love for 'leggy blonde', 'sello tape' or 'humans are dead'?

imho, there were only two songs from season 1 that i didn't like, and that's 'mermaids' and that one in french.  i also think that some of the songs worked better as stand-up, but others, especially 'beautiful girl' work much better in the show.

And the French one is my favorite.  I agree, though, the first season has better music, overall.  I do like the one where they're both in love with Brarbara.  And the sea chanty (though I don't like the out of place contemporary reference).

Missed quite a few episodes of the show; Did they ever get to "Jenny"? One of their best, most random routines.
