My dad forwarded me an e-mail, and there was a link to the snopes confirmation of the story right in the body of the e-mail.

Yeah, so I guess don't pick up soda bottles in your front yard because you'll blow your hand off.

Guess he's talking about this.  Are the emails trying to blow this out to be some kind of terrorist attack?  It's just some stupid kids pulling a very dangerous prank.

Sorry, what I was implying was that my dad (and lots of people's parents) forward them stupid e-mails all the time without bothering to check if they are just urban legends. I always complain, yet it happens over and over. This is the first time I got one where the news item had been pre-confirmed.

you usually see (full of water)Plastic Soda Bottles in people's gardens over here,but that is to keep neighbours cats from pissing in your yard icon_lol

First I've heard of a Drano bomb. Wouldn't it just be easier to get dry ice and use that and warm water in a bottle? 

But seriously, dropping these on people's lawns is seriously f'ed up.
