Doctor: "Your aunt?"
Visitor:"No, not mine."
Doctor: "I see..."

These quotes scare the hell out of me:
Quote
On Monday, the patient's family saw a gaping hole with swarming ants in it when they lifted the bandage on her left eye.

Quote
"It's not uncommon for ants to attack diabetic patients. We have set up a committee to investigate the unfortunate incident," hospital superintendent A. Adhikary said.

Not uncommon to be attacked by ants?  WTF???

Yikes, I never knew ants had a thing for diabetics.  That's scary.

What I want to know is did the ants materialize there in the eye?

Maybe the ants in India are specially trained to parachute in, but here where I live,  for more than a few ants to even scout around there is a visible trail of them- you can't miss it.  Something very strange in going on over there.

A):  I'm diabetic, and have never been attacked by ants!  What's so "not uncommon" about ants attacking diabetic patients?  I can only imagine the conditions under which this statement could be true... *shudders, too*

B):  "Unfortunate incident" - only if you're not the "unfortunate" patient - then it's just a bit more than "unfortunate"... UN-EFFIN-FORTUNATE is when you sprain an ankle, pull a ligament, maybe even lose your wallet - but not your freakin'  EYE!

c):  "Set up a committee" - OMG - use that committee time to spray for ants, and check under screaming patients' bandages! I feel bad because I know some  of it is just the bad conditions, lack of money, etc. - but, WTF?
