Hey guys, here's the deal:

I am feeling really crappy... you know, sick-cold-flu like crappy.

I have 4 meetings tomorrow that I simply can't miss.  I need advice on what to do after work (other than sleep obviously) to help make sure I make it to work Wednesday, and make it through until about 3:00pm.

I'll take medicine advice, herbal advice, all natural advice, hardcore drug advice, voodoo magic advice, whatever.

Thanks a bunch.

Drink a lot of water! It will help to flush your system of the virus you have.

I think Soulchilde smacked us both with some kind of voodoo curse so we can't play GoW tonight!

CeeKay and LD I owe you both a shot in the back  nod Tongue  My local GS where I have my pre-order says they will have it on the 8th, so I might be hunting around today  crybaby

See?  obviously he's afraid of us, so he's resorting to drastic measures!!!

 Tongue

Sadly, I know of no quick cure other than rest.  I plan on getting alot of vitamin C too, and maybe a quart of chicken soup from a local chinese restaurant (great noodles!).

If it's a cold, Airborne (http://www.airborne-cold-remedy-formula-medicine.com/) has done wonders for me since I discovered it two years ago (but you gotta take it like right quick once you start feeling crappy).  It's stopped 3 of 4 things that felt like colds for me, so long as I've taken it the first day I've felt symptoms.

If things get worse, Dayquil can make a day tolerable.  It ends up zoning me out, but at least I can breathe and function at about 70% normal?

Rest and lots of fluids is going to be good too.  Hope you feel better.

If you're at work now, go home now, and go to bed.  Sleep does wonders

I always take Tylenol Severe Cold and Flu and drink lots of water.   That makes me feel close to normal.

Zinc is supposed to be good for fighting off colds.

Practically speaking: can you call in to the meetings?  I'm sure participants would thank you for not spreading your contagion...

I'll vote for Airborne as well - two coworkers of mine swear on it's healing power.

Yeah, it's a shame really, cause I do have to physically be there.  I hope their immune systems are workin' on all cylinders.

Thanks everyone for all the advice too.  Sleep and liquids definately seem to be agreed upon by all.  The medicine (I'm sort of a self-heal kinda' person and don't really rely on medicines too often, and rarely get sick) I guess is a personal preference thing.  I'll pick one and see how it goes I suppose.

ps:  The Airborne stuff sounds right up my alley, I wonder if that is available in stores or if it needs to be ordered online

Enjoy GoW tonight without me.  Save some killing for me though.

Airborne is at any CVS, Walgreens or Target in our area at least, with the cold remedies...  About $6 to $7 for I think 10 tablets (to be taken every 3 hours or so).  Once the cold has kicked in it hasn't done much for me, but if this is day one, it's worth a try.

Careful on the zinc/zicam treatments. That stuff can do some damage to your system.

If you  have to be on the go all day tomorrow, make sure you sleep as much as possible tonight.  I take lots of Nyquil, since that puts me out like a light.   If you don't get tons of rest tonight, no matter what you take for the cold, you will be dragging all day tomorrow.

Also, drink Gatorade or some other sports drink.  It will help keep you from getting dehydrated.  I know that helped me get over my sinus infection.

Activating the chainsaw when you're behind a teammate is a great way to make sure they're awake, especially in close quarters  icon_twisted

Flush both of your ears with Peroxide, it works;

Remarkable results can be achieved in curing colds and the flu within 12-14 hours when we administer a few drops of 3% Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) into each ear. The H2O2 starts working within 2-3 minutes in killing the cold or flu.

I hear chainsawing the Devils ass also works wonders in the cold-relief field.
