Click for the Oh So Wrong.

No way in hell would this make it to the States, but enjoy those wacky Europeans! biggrin

EDIT - Revised thread title due to the hoax nature of the ad. Sick, but funny. Kinda like watching Jackass, only with funny included.

That may be one of the most offensive things i've ever seen.   frown

Whoever drew that up or approved it should be fired...immediately.

Given the fact that thousands of people are killed every year by suicide bombs, I can't even believe this commercial got made.  It shows a total lack of morals and decency.

I can't wait for the commercial based in Indonesia showing a vw driving over dead people and the end reading 'a comfortable ride no matter what.'

I am actually spurred to action. I'm going to write to VW.

<where's the daggon thumbs down...?>

Now that I think about it...is it an internet goof or do you think it's a real sanctioned VW commercial?

Fear not good buddy.  The ad is indeed a hoax.

Oh, come on.
The "bad-guy" dies.  No innocents are hurt.  It's funny because it displays a villian being inept, and dying because of it.

It's like all these little works of comedy that show Hitler doing something stupid, or ridiculous.  Like, for example, Monty Python.  It's called surrealist comedy.

Yes, it's offensive.  But it's not horrible.

I laughed my arse off, but then again I also felt that Passion of the Christ needed a super ninja squad swooping in at the last minute to save JC.

Give it a rest and cheer up! You sound like the type of people who want to see games like Grand Theft Auto banned or say there's too much violence in movies. Censorship is bad in all it's forms.

Complaining about it to the company (if this were actually a VW ad) isn't censorship.  It's censorship if the government tells them what they can and can't say.  If people complain and the company decides not to do it because of market/opinion pressure, that's just responding to public opinion.

I chuckled at the ad, but I can very much see how someone would reasonably be *very* offended.

No, actually it needed the Judean People's Front's Crack Suicide Squad to come and save him. That would have improved the movie 10 fold. (Life of Brian reference if you didn't get it.)

CeeKay were you just trying to offend ATB even more? smile
