Anyone psyched for the release of the Nexus 4 on Tuesday?
I know I'm letting myself get into the hype a bit too much, but what the hell. It's fun to be excited about a upcoming gadget!
I'll be switching from iPhone to Android with the Nexus 4. All signs point to this being the perfect opportunity to give Android a try.

Doesn't bother me. Hell, I might be getting the 8 GB one I don't stuff my phone with music, movies and stuff. My iPhone has 16 GB and I'm only using ~3.5 GB (not including the OS).

I figure if I keep getting phones with bigger storage I never need to sit down and choose between having the complete collection of Bette Midler or Rod Stewart available to me should I need to get my groove on, or if I can have a copy of Vampires Suck ready to roll on a long trip

With unlimited internet I just stream it all the time. My commute has little to no dropouts so I'm usually good to and from work every day. So I really have no need for any space on my phone unless I'm going on a trip then I just download a playlist on spotify and I'm good to go. I have 16 gigs on my phone and a 16 gig SD card in it and I use maybe 2 gigs of it.

CK's masking - it's his Twighlight (in HD) movie collection that occupies most of the space.

You only get to use about 5 GB of the space, and with some games taking up almost 2 GB, you don't have much room to work with. I have the 8 GB Google Nexus 7 and I'm constantly running out of space.

I have the almost 2-year old Nexus S and am eligible to upgrade, but honestly I'm not sure I really need to. I don't use my phone that much as it is, and I have a Nexus 7 tablet for Android games and things, so my phone is kind of back to just being a phone.

Yeah, but very little. I do most of my gaming on my iPad. My games on my iPhone take up ~500 MB total.

I would be except that you cannot have a smart phone without a data plan. This should be viewed as collusion.

If you're buying an unlocked phone you shouldn't need a data plan. The Nexus 4 is unlocked.

You would think, but once AT&T sees that it is a smart phone, it is automagically setup with a data plan. No way around it. This is such a rip off. I would only use wifi, and phone companies know that a lot of people would - so less revenue.
