Yeah, it amazes me how this show could be all about these chicks' relationships and sexual escapades when 3/4 of them are completely unattractive. I guess that's what makes it a work of fiction.

By the way, I tracked down those nude pictures of Charlotte. While I appreciated them on a "yay, boobies!" level, some of the magic is now gone.  My entire tolerance level for the SatC phenomenon was based around Charlotte, and the possibility of one day seeing her nude. Now that I have accomplished that goal, I feel empty inside. The show and movie still exist, but any glimmer of positivity I can draw from it is now gone.

I have never watched SatC, and yet it cracks me up that people are surprised and even freaked out that this movie was #1 over the weekend.  Just because you're not the target audience does not make it evil...

My wife and a few of her friends flew to Florida but still went to see this movie.  The funny thing is that they saw a trailer for Bleach: Memories of Nobody.  Even funnier, they saw it twice, and my poor wife was the only person who had any kind of inkling what was being advertised.  Completely the wrong audience for this movie.  Granted, it might have been something the theater was playing in a loop before the movie started, but I got a kick out of hearing this.

My s/o mentioned she was planning to see it with a few girlfriends of hers and made a big deal of saying, "So don't worry, I'm not going to ask you to go see it with me."

Me: "Okay.  But just so you know, if you asked, I would go with you to see it."

If I were dating and was asked, I would go.  It's no different than going to a friend or family member you don't care for's place.  Or shopping for shoes and blouses.  Or filling up her car with gas because she something pressing to attend to.  She just shouldn't expect me be all cheery about it or hang out afterwards and drink coffee and talk about the greatness of the movie going experience.

As it goes, I just went and saw the Indy movie for work project and it was "meh."  I wish they'da let me see Iron Man instead.

One of my sisters married friends is an unabashed geek, and he went to go see a movie last weekend and couldn't believe how full the cineplex was.  Amongst the majority of the crowd was women, in couture, showing up in limos, etc.

He turned to his wife and said, "I will *NEVER* again listen to someone making fun of geeks showing up to Star Wars movies in Chewbacca costumes."

I used to play Civ 3 while the wife would be watching this show. I still can't hear the theme music without thinking of Civ and unfortunately can't play Civ without thinking of SatC. Must be why I could never get into Civ 4.

I did this for Superman Returns and The Devil Wears Prada. Unfortunately for me Superman Returns sucked.

Eh.. I'd go see it if asked.  I'm not sure why this movie is any more offensive than any other "event" movie that caters to a cultural niche.  I mean, I dunno about y'all, but I'd rather hang out with a bunch of 30-something women all dressed up and snarfing cosmos than a bunch of chubby guys in stromtrooper outfits.  If that somehow makes me whipped or a eunich, so be it.
