Di Canio sacked by Sunderland, didnt take long.
Really? I guess when you walk onto the pitch and take the abuse from the fans, you know the end is near. Chairmen pull the trigger too quick.

Not exactly sure what he was trying to accomplish by confronting the fans..  Can't placate when all they want are wins.  Any word on who is taking over?

-edit N/M just read the story over on NBC Sports..

That is not what i meant. Normally when things go bad senior management normally give them time especially new managers who have a different or new vision. Normally they have 2 or 3 games more before the chop. However as they have Liverpool and then Man Utd maybe the thinking was we could lose those anyways so we have a few weeks to get things in place.

Also 14 new players was way too many in 1 go.

first match this weekend(12:45pm Sat kick off) is Tottenham Vs Chelsea

AVB has been stirring the pot nicely already this weekend suggesting he does not know why Mourinho does not play Mata more and also that he does not speak to Mourinho(after being part of his backroom staff for seven years)

Should be a cracker of a game

Heh, guy is a knucklehead, but I kind of like him for some reason. Sunderland is really bad to begin with. Hopefully whoever takes over the helm finds a way to find Altidore the ball. He's been Sunderland's best player and hasn't finished one yet (robbed vs Arsenal, however).

I thought it was funny that DiCanio was complaining that his players didn't all speak english - when he was the dope who brought them all in. I thought it was neat when he went to applaud the fans and in his way apologize. That's how it looked to me when it was happening, anyway.

Ahh nice lineup of games today. Nice start to the day with Spurs/Chelsea. Two teams still finding their identity, I think. Torres is starting today. If Chelsea gets him going, they're going to be fine. Can't believe Mata is on the pine. I just don't get Maurinho, but he sees them in training every day, I don't. At least he wised up and is playing Luiz more. Love me some Sideshow Bob. Really talented player... Probably more suited for defensive midfield (due to his chance taking).

Oh baby, love early Saturday mornings. Should be a fun day.

Torres, unfairly, sent off.  They both were battling all day, but I guess the Ref just had enough

WOW! Villa tied it! unbelievable. That guy had to be off. Shocking. City has dominated so far.

Edit: Well, that didn't take long. City back in the lead.

Edit: unbelievable! Can't believe AV took the dang lead!

WOW! Shocking results. West Brom winning one @ United and Villa beating City? What the heck? Maybe we'll get lucky and Arsenal will struggle with Swansea for the trifecta (not likely). I can't believe United lost at home. Heck, Cardiff pulling out a win at Fulham is another good upset. Cardiff is playing really well.

for me its time for Ferdinand to hang up his boots,it was embarrassing watching him try and defend today

Says how bad we played if Nani was supposed to be our best player on the pitch

A lot of people are saying Moyes out,i called them all dickheads and they should go support Chelsea if that's how they feel biggrin

Meh, I don't like when fans put all the blame on the manager. I'm really surprised by United's record thus far. They have waaaaaay too much quality for how their results are going. I think a good run will sort them out. I wouldn't worry about it too much. To be fair, only the loss today was really unexpected so far - the other 2 were 'good' losses, if there is such a thing (@Anfield, @City). Moyes is a solid coach. It takes time to learn how to run one of the top teams in the world. United definitely isn't Everton. They will be fine. Maybe not top of the table fine, but they will be in there.

Some have said that Moyes can only manage a 5th place team, and that is where Man U is headed. If that is indeed the destination, how long will Moyes be there? Until Jan 1?

He will get the season at least. Sacking him at Xmas will probably not improve them enough if they are struggling to get them much higher.

Nice way to start the day with Everton visiting City. Be interesting if Joe Hart can stop anything today and if City can get their confidence back. I can understand getting stomped by Bayern Munich, they are amazing. Sheesh, the D looked lost in that match. I'm surprised by their slow start. Tough one against an unbeaten Everton squad. Should be a fun one.

Defense has been very poor for City, but at least they equalized against Everton.  I'm not sure if Hart is the problem or the defense as a whole.  City needs a win

Hart has had some shit thrown at him in the papers this week, asking if he should still be our England Number 1

They do need a win. They look very potent in attack. After Everton scored it seemed to wake them up a bit. Pretty exciting match thus far.

Edit - yeah the defense is weak most of the time this season, but my criticism of Hart this season is he does let up some soft/flukeish goals and hasn't recently been 'bailing the team out' like a top netminder does at times to steal points.

Edit - Hope the 2nd half is as good as the first.

good rebound for City if they win, but they need to win some away games.

Good the be an Arsenal fan for the first time in a long time. Last year's team would have broken down after Norwich got one back, but not this year. So many strong performances across the team. It was odd how we seemed to break down on defense a bit once Flamini came off though.

Top of the table for another week. Now should I watch Man City, or start cleaning house?  icon_smile

Crisis at Man U! Time to fire Moyes and bring back Sir Alex! If you listen to 606 it's obviously because Fellaini is crap and you should have signed Özil.

It'll be Christmas time when i will start worrying(it's just annoying at the moment),its always Christmas when you take a really long look at the table and how you are doing and where you are

Our Summer business was ridiculous,we gave Nani a 5 year contract saywhat and bought Fellaini for 27 million saywhat saywhat(Making him our 3rd most expensive transfer i think) at the last minute of the transfer window when we could of bought him for 4-5 million less at the start, talk about panic buying

we actually did better with our business yesterday than the whole of summer with securing Adnan Januzaj on a 5 year contract,he really is one to watch,he seems to remind me of a young Ryan Giggs right now,so I'm excited to see what he can do

Obligatory Saturday post:
Luis Suarez is the man. What a goal. Liverpool owes West Brom after some tough losses last season.

Edit WOW! What a header by Suarez - from the freakin 18. That's ridiculous. 2-0. Woo!
