Very happy with this match so far. A couple of close calls, but we are dominating. Sagna is doing well at CB. Our bench is so weak though, I am a bit nervous. The only real strength we have on it is Jack.

Heh nice, glad I checked over here.
Bleh, stupid Arsenal.
So happy they are putting Sunderland on next. Gotta support Joze! Guess the Everton game gets the online feed treatment.
Pumped for the AV/Liverpool game. Hope the boys can get another win today. 3rd game in 8 days for Villa, hopefully their attack is a bit fatigued... I'm not real excited about Liverpool's back line play so far.

Ha, I was just thinking there weren't any more good games on today. I was hoping to procrastinate doing my homework.

Is Altodore even starting?

Monday's match is the one I'm looking forward too.  Man U and Chelsea.  Curious to see if they start Rooney against the club that's trying to buy him on Tuesday as Murinho put it icon_biggrin

My cable company (Bright House) shows all the games on TV in the US. NBC has these Extra Time channels that are free.

Good way to start off the weekend! Two wins this week. What crisis? We obviously don't need any new players. /sarcasm

Love the new away kit too, if I wasn't broke I would buy one...must resist.

Side note, I really love that blonde on NBC, something about her is very sexy.

Woot, Jozy is starting.
Also, glad I looked into it - didn't realize direct tv had the 'extra' channels. Oh baby! (channel 490s) That's going to come in handy a lot this season.

Yep, Rebecca Lowe. Sexy voice, a different kind of look about her I just love as well, and I usually don't care for blondes much. Still, Millie Clode from Sky Sports is my all time favorite. LOVE her.

We get the women, you have all the ex players. From my twitter, it sounds like must of them are just as dumb as you would expect them to be. Although it sounds like Gary Neville is quite good.

Man, that stinks. I'm just shocked a broadcast company in the states is doing it right. We're pretty dang spoiled now and I sure as heck won't complain. This is how sports should be - accessible. It's nice to be able to watch a club every week rather than being at the mercy of whatever is put on every week. It's hard to really get into things when you can't at least follow a team or a player.

Yeah, they are pretty bad. I'm shocked they scored. Altidore sure isn't getting any room to work. If they could get him some service, he can get it going.

They are reporting at half time that Sunderland has put a bid into Roma for Michael Bradley! That would be awesome. He's a pretty good offensive holding midfielder and gives good balls for an American.

man my glorious EPL thread will miss a weekend...bummer. SO i caught part of the Arsenal game (6 am my time) but was nice to watch em be dominant. Really liked Wilshere's enthusiasm. Missed most of the Stoke/Southampton game.

Though I really wonder how this Aston Villa - Liverpool game is going to go. AV gave Arsenal fits and gave Chelsea a real run for their money on Wed. I wonder if they will have enough in the tank for this game for starters. Second I am seriously thinking that this is going to be a well matched game. And finally I wonder IF AV will be a surprise team. The showing so far suggest so. We'll see.

At least GT has their own EPL thread now...our work is done.

woo Sturridge is the man! Can't wait for Suarez to get back, but the man is making some plays. Going to be tough holding off Villa's attack in the 2nd half. I'm just waiting for Agbonlahor to get loose and find Benteke and make the D look bad. Been a pretty good game thus far.

Edit: woo! 6 points in 2 games. I like it. Mignolet making a game-saving stop 2 weeks in a row.

Few years back I went to a soccer pub in Denver that opened at 7 (although I didn't go that early) in order to show all the games. It wasn't packed when I was there, but it had a decent crowd watching Arsenal play. Really neat atmosphere, kind of old and rustic, TVs everywhere, and they did an English breakfast that came with a pint of Guinness. Wish I would have went back, places like that aren't common enough. We called the local English pub here to ask if they were showing a 10 AM game and they weren't.

Wow Man City lost? I thought they were shooins for top 4 status this season. Didnt watch it so will be curious to see highlights.

Big BIG win for Cardiff in the staying up battle. Those are massive 3 points for them.

In terms of top 4 I was thinking Chelsea/United at the top, City at 3rd with Totenham nabbing 4th due to their transfer activity.

Wow, Swansea got hosed bigtime by a HORRIBLE call in the box, which made up for a HORRIBLE call in the box (ruled outside) in the first half. Why can't the official just get it right the first time? Spurs just don't look that great, but keep finding ways to win.

Can't wait to see the highlights on match of the day later for the City game. Shocking watching the ticker and the score changing as it did late in the game. How the heck did they give up 3?? Crazy. I guess I made a mistake by not watching that match on the laptop with the Spurs game on the TV. Huge game tomorrow. Can't wait. Fun weekend so far woohoo.

I watched the City game (City Supporter) Cardiff City played smart and used Set Pieces and a timely goal rebound to win.   City looked really bad in defending corner kicks and payed the price

Cool, thanks for the insight. Surprising, really. I'd love to have a guy like Lescott manning the box on set pieces. Tough day for Hart I figure. Eager to see the replay.

Getting ready for the United and Chelsea match, and Sky Sports News just put up this table on how much has been spent during this summer transfer window

There is still a week to go,however

1-Man City - 88.5m
2-Tottenham - 58.8m
3-Southampton -36m
4-Chelsea - 28m
5-Cardiff - 26.7m
6-Norwich - 24.6m
7-Liverpool - 22.8m
8-West Ham - 21m
9-Swansea - 20.9m
10-Sunderland - 19.4m
11-Aston Villa - 13.2m
12-Hull - 12.9m
13-Crystal Palace - 11.1m
14-Fulham - 9.1m
15-Everton - 8m
16-Stoke - 3m
17-Man Utd - 2.4m
18-West Brom - 0m
19-Newcastle - 0m
20-Arsenal - 0m

Most of Manchester United's targets have not come about this summer, and Arsenal have been threatening for a few weeks that they are going to spend big

The deadline is 2nd September, and honestly watch out for the last few hours of it,thats where a lot of the big deals can be done

Real Madrid spending 100 Mill for Bale is just crazy stupid, but that club has the money to burn. Bale is certainly looking to be an incredible player, but he's no Messi, imo

Agreed on all points in that comment,as much as i loved Ronaldo,i still thought Real spending 80mil was too much for anybody(but i wasn't complaining as the money was coming in for Utd,I was just complaining for losing Ronaldo)

There is a rumour now that a second club has entered the race for Bale..but who knows what's the truth,at this time of the footy year, rumours are all over the place

I know last week Real Madrid had already started to sell shirts with Bales name on them
