The effect was done (and better) in the Episode I teaser.
You know, despite the other things Lucas is maligned for, he has kept the hair styles remarkably consistent throughout the six films.

That is funny.
But given the background of this shot, I think the hairstyle may be a conscious choice to match Episode IV, which the geek in me is a little too excited about.

nice... I like the use of the corridor from Episode IV... ...but I gotta agree with Destructor. I have little to no hope that Episode III will be great and yeah, I'll be seeing it anyways. Take that as you will as to how George Lucas is perceived at this time. I'm one of those who won't be picking up the DVD trilogy due to the lack of integrity Lucas exhibited in making the changes he made to it.

Does he use the Force to keep his hair all wavy and in place? Or is it some kind of special Jedi hair product?

The Screens Savers (Awsome! Cool! Awesome.) said the poster might be fake.
A false piece of Star Wars information. No way.

Yes the movie will probably suck. But I will be there on day one with hope that it kicks ass. It just has to right?!... this is the last movie of the greatest film series in history! Lucas can't disappoint us.

You know, as happy as I am to have (albiet "butchered" versions thereof) the original Star Wars trilogy in my possession, maybe it would have been a lot smarter on George's part to hold off until the last of the new stuff to release them...
Because, frankly, after rewatching them after having not seen them for a few years, episode III has a pretty huge freakin' mountain to climb in order to be in the same universe with the naive accidental masterpieces that the original Star Wars came to be.
As an aside, my GF and I were talking about this recently and we decided that one huge flaw in the new movies is that there are no foils, no wild cards. The Good Guys (tm) are Good Guys (tm) and the Bad Guys (tm) are Bad Guys (tm). I miss the Han Solos, the Landos. They added a texture to the SW canvas. Heroes in spite of themselves and all that.
ah well, on to episode 3..

Looks good!
I am pretty optimistic about the new movie. It seems to be a great improvement over the other 2 prequels, from all the spoliers that have leaked out.

Optimism... the first of the seven stages of mourning. Last stage is "yo man, that sucked!" But seriously, while I'm willing to be optimistic, the series has changed so much from the way it started that it's difficult for me to actually be optimistic. They have so much suck(TM) to overcome just to be a decent movie. Or maybe I'm just more discriminating than I was? Dunno... something's changed (or maybe everything's changed).

I don't know if you know this- that poster is a fake. It was created by a guy over on the Home Theater Forum several months ago. Here is the relevant post.
