Does the end of the world roll in like New Years does? If so I would like to announce that the end has come in Tokyo. We are writhing in death throes in the streets. Giant floods that make the tsunami look like a bathtub and winds of fire batter us and in a sure sign, the Leafs have won the Stanley Cup. The end of the world hasnt made my train commute any less crowded the Japanese are auch hard workers-they not only go to work on end of the world days, they even go to wok on SATURDAYS! By some miracle the country's wireless networks are still functioning (this end of the world update sent from my iPhone).

A nutjob calculated that the rapture is to be today. He's managed to hook a number of people in, to the extent that some of them have quit their jobs and blown their life savings and their kid's college funds on spreading the message. This is the guy's second rapture prediction-when this first didn't happen he corrected some errors in his calculations to come up with today. And yes, his church has profited from this. |

Well, I've given everything I own away with the exception of my Droid (from which I am typing this post and that I'm keeping just in case I've been wrong this whole time and have to navigate an Armageddon ravaged world and find a Dairy Queen) and am at the top of the tallest building in Raleigh so I don't have fly as far to get to Jesus....but so far, nothing. And I've spent $300.00 on drinks while waiting...but jokes on them! I won't be paying the bill! |
