Why do you so many of you freaks carry your keys in your right pocket? Everyone knows they go in the left pocket.

That's where my smartphone goes. I can lift it up with my left hand and use the right hand to interact with it without having to swap between the two. Since I can't keep my keys in the same pocket as my smartphone, the keys go in the right pocket... Which also means that when I pick them up I do so with my dominant hand. |

Dominant hand and the keys go in the right side of the ignition. iPhone is held by the left hand while the right uses the interface. And the knife and pen are on opposite sides for easy stabby access.

Interesting. All these years, I have been packing inefficiently. I do not have a smartphone, but when I carry my cell I put it in my right pocket.
I think I've always put my car keys in my left pocket so can dig them out with my left hand while carrying something in my right hand. I also put my messenger bag over my right shoulder, so digging my keys out from the right pocket would be awkward.
