As I was getting ready for work this morning I started to wonder what other people have in their pockets. I carry my badge for work, the one key to my motorcyle, my Special Operations Group knife from the military, my wallet and my phone in my pockets.

Keys, comb, wallet, iPhone.... I dump any loose change into a box every other evening so none today. Kinda light for having 6 pockets.

Not much normally. Wallet, keys, a pen, work badge, and maybe some coins for the vending machine at work. I usually don't carry my phone at work and instead leave it in the car.

I expect most of the answers here will be pretty similar.
Phone, Keys, Wallet, Badge (though this is not actually in my pocket).

Left front gets my pen, my phone, and a bottle of Visine AC. This pocket gets emptied to my desk on arrival.
Right front gets my keys, my folding Buck knife, and a handkerchief.
Left rear gets my wallet. Right rear gets my Air Force Brat challenge coin. Right ear gets my Icon Bluetooth.

I try not to keep anything in my pockets if I can help it. I'll use my pockets for temporary transport, but if I'm in the car or sitting in my office I put keys, wallet etc on the seat or in a drawer or bag.
I do carry stainless steel Spyderco clip knife though.

Empty your pockets please I thought for sure this would be a thread about attending a movie theater these days, given the prices. When I go through TSA, this is generally what goes into a zipper bag... -Wallet (I carry mine in my left front pocket) -Old (2004) Nokia brick cellphone (I'm sure I'll get a smartphone some day but haven't felt the itch) -iPod Touch 4th gen (much thinner/lighter than an iPhone, it goes into my shirt pocket) -Keys on a couple key chains tied together, including Brookstone keychain light -Geeky little rubber "change purse" for coins (one of those rubbery things that open with a squeeze; you can't hardly buy these anywhere, but a hotel gift shop in Philadelphia had one that I picked up in 2007. You know it's "quality" because the Philadelphia logo still hasn't worth off after four years use -One or two lense wipe packets for my glasses (shirt pocket) -Usually some sort of anti-gas or antacid type medicine strip/tablets (I'm a hypochondriac ) (shirt pocket) *If I'm on business, I also usually have a tiny Olympus WS-400 stereo-mic digital voice recorder that I've found handy for both interviews and conference presentations (shirt pocket)

Whenever I wear pants (ie. not now ) I always carry the same few things: My phone, my keys (one for my bike, one for my apartment), and a thin metal box containing a debit card and my membership card for the nearest fitness center. When I wear a jacket, I also carry around lip balm, the code card for my bank's online services, and my access card at work (unless it's the weekend). Sometimes I also carry around a pack of mints.

Left front: Phone(Nexus One) Right Front: Keys, pen Back right: Wallet(Work badge is in my wallet)
And that's usually it. Sometimes I have my sunglasses felt bag type deal, that goes in the pocket with my phone. Phone is segregated to avoid scratches.

Phone, keys, wallet. Same thing every day.
I carry a backpack every day though, with my laptop, charger, whatever book I'm reading if it's not on Kindle, protein powder in a shaker bottle (I start to starve around 4pm without eating something in the afternoon), lunch if I bring it, umbrella and light hoodie (Seattle daily essentials), and my Kindle.

Uniball VisionI worked for years as a staffing coordinator in a call center. Everything revolved around paper form requests submitted and returned to the reps. I had to sign multiple forms per day and we had more people than office space, so I worked from one of several desks during the day. So it became a habit to carry a pen with me all day long. It has come in handy in numerous occasions, as there is not always a pen available when you need one, and I have been able to provide an immediate use for people in need of one.

Like this? I have two badges and my gym membership all held together with one of those retracting belt clip thingies. (I rarely wear this on my belt). I also throw the ol' iphone 3Gs in there. Wallet? No. Occasionally bank cards or receipts, but I hate having things in my back pocket, and putting it in one of the front pockets just looks silly.

I worked in shipping and recieving when I was in college and people had to sign on a paper form for there boxes. I've just always had a pen with me since then, it's come in handy as more than just a pen and in signing reciepts and so forth since it's just easier for me to grab that one than the person to fumble around. One day I'll be cool and have a leatherman or something.

I don't carry anything in my pockets if I can help it. I sweat really easily and have destroyed several good smartphones because of it. I actually have a MadCatz PSP bag that I carry:
HTC Evo 4g (and Charger) Ipad Charger Car Adapter for my chargers LED Flashlight headphones ID/Debit Card/YMCA member card/Kroger Card
So yes, I get a lot of flak about carrying a 'purse' but if it keeps my portable electronics out of my pockets and working, then so be it.

I once had one of the Uniball Visions when I went to play basketball. Darn thing snapped in half. It didn't spill a drop. I may end up with ink on my hand from smearing over what I've written, but in over a decade, I've never had one malfunction and leave me with an ink stain.
