It really makes me wonder how much the studio heads actually spend on drugs... I mean seriously... "Let's make a low budget movie centered on the uninteresting side character from that movie we made that stank." "You mean League of Extraordinary Gentlemen?" "No... Daredevil. I'm sure this one will turn out much better!" *sigh* s

There are only 17 reviews up there. Wait until there are 50 or so to see if there is still a big goose egg.

I could have been wrong, I typed it in a hurry. However, it's up to 19 now with 1 positive review.

Remember all the negative reviews Battlefield Earth got? Despite the reviews I went with my gut feeling and it turned out to be one of my favorite movies of all time. Don't trust the reviews, trust your instinct! It's usually always right.

http://channels.aimtoday.com/movies/story.jsp?idq=/ff/story/0001%2F20050116%2F1712482385.htm&sc=1402Jennifer Garner's action flick ``Elektra,'' a spinoff of the Marvel Comics adaptation ``Daredevil,'' finished fifth with $12.5 million. That was less than a third of the weekend haul for ``Daredevil,'' which debuted as the No. 1 movie in February 2002. Ouch.

Has anyone actually gone and seen the movie?
Just wondered if we has some actual impressions. I won't go - I still have a bitter taste from Blade 3: Crapfest.

Has anyone actually gone and seen the movie? I've seen it... geenrally I am pretty easy to please with movies. As long as it is fun, I don't mind plotholes and shaky acting. For instance, I enjoyed Blade 3 and Daredevil. I simply liked Daredevil being brought to life, despite my disappointment in their choice for actor (not an action star Ben, sorry). I went in to Elektra without any real expectations other than what is in this thread, I didn't read any of the reviews (and still haven't). I found the movie to be hmmm... lukewarm. There wasn't enough action to keep it fun, there wasn't enough of Sidn.. err.. Jennifer's skin to keep me interested. The story wasn't enough to cover the shortcomings in other departments. To sum it up, bleh.

I saw it. I see all superhero movies. It was bad but I enjoyed it. Actually it wasn't bad as so much stupid. BTW I'm NOT a Jennifer Garner fan.
Keep in mind, the film had a budget of $25 million and they did the whole thing in 3 months. Thats preproduction, filming and post production.

On the plus side, she's in the film too: On the minus side she was not even remotely hot in the film. She's hot, Typhoid Mary is not... even when she is locking lips with Elektra.

She looks like a very average looking girl, very sparsely dressed to me. But, I also only think Jennifer Garner is only slightly better than average herself. Reedy, skinny, flat chested girls aren't my type. Only time Jennifer Garner has cleavage is if they tape her tits together.
