Easily the finest police show created in the last decade, you even get a sweet case file box to hold the seven seasons of greatness. Plus, Bruce "Don't Call Me Ash" Campbell starred in a two-parter. There's also the double-disc SE of The Green Mile which shall find itself upon my Christmas list tootsweet. For those of you into giant monkeys, the LOTR-style EE of King Kong hits as well. If anyone can explain to my as to why a giant ape story deserves a four hour film then kudos to you. The original version clocked in at a lean 100 minutes and it remains one of the best films ever. Peter Jackson's love-fest to the big guy? Not so much.

King Kong came with my HD-DVD player that I bought Sunday, so thats all for me this week. DaVinci Code was average at best so I'm passing on it.

DaVinci Code seems like a good rental.
I can't imagine the bigger version of King Kong. The original draggggged, so I don't know what they're going to do with 40 minutes of additional footage. I'd like to know more about the 2disc version of the Green Mile....what's new with it?

King Kong Extended (I love long movies) and I'll have to look into the Oldboy 3 Disc Collector's Edition (I have Symptathy for Mr. Vengeance sitting at home from Netflix but haven't watched it yet).

I thought the new version was too long and full of unnecessary special effects and crap as it was, I can't imagine why they need to add 38 minutes more of that. I think I'll be adding Who Killed The Electric Car to my queue and that's about it.

I can't imagine watching Oldboy again. I loved it, but that was a harsh movie.

Oldboy! I'm glad it's getting the deluxe treatment. What a great movie.

Homicide TCS sounds good to me, I've only seen a couple of episodes from the first season and they were very good.

Family Guy and 3rd Rock.
Maybe Oldboy at some point in the future. What a mind bender that was, but I'm not sure it's all that rewatchable beyond the two times I've already seen it.

FWIW, the new King Kong is only 13 minutes longer, not 38 miinutes. They've included 38 minutes of new footage, but only 13 is edited back into the movie itself with the rest viewed as deleted scenes. Not that it will make much of a difference to most people....

Picked up Joyeux Noel today before work - also known as Merry Christmas in English.
It's about the Christmas Truce of 1914 during the first year of World War One.
