I wanna rent Batman Begins and Land of the Dead ... and I may even fare through Saw Uncut to prime myself for Saw II. I hope the uncut portion has the good takes Carey Elwes did for his scenes. Might be nice to include those.

I'll be picking up all Batman...Begins and Anthology. Wife and I like different movies in it, so might as well pick up the whole shebang.

Batman Begins is the one sure buy. I'm a little low on cash this week otherwise I'd pick up the Disney flicks Tarzan and Emperor's New Groove. They will have to wait.
Land of the Dead and Saw will go onto the Netflix queue.

Do you mean the difference between the first Batman DVD release a few years back and the recent SE edition? All I know is that the original Batman release had basically nothing as far as extras go, while the SE has a second disk of bonuses. And the SE has a newer digital transfer that is apparently better than the first one, but still not fantastic. That's what I gathered from the IGN DVD review.

Movie Trading Co. was out of the loaded version, hence I just rented the normal one because I want to watch the movie. I'll buy the loaded version this weekend and OD on Batman greatness then.

Went to Blockbuster to see if they had Land of the Dead in, and lo and behold, they aren't ever going to carry it.
Congrats Blockbuster, you're stupid. You do realise that it is FUCKING OCTOBER THE MONTH OF HALLOWEEN?
Anyhow, guess I'll queue it up on Netflix.

Rented Batman Begins last night, and I enjoyed it more than I did in the theatre. I still have problems with the movie, and don't laud it like some of the reviewers did, but I think I was able to get into it a little more because I knew what was and wasn't in it, so I wasn't let down by how I would have tackled Year One if I'd had the opportunity. That was my biggest issue with the movie walking out of the theatre in the summer - thinking how I would have done it differently, and being arrogant enough to think my way would have been better. Still think Spider-Man is a superior comicbook adaptation so far, but I do look forward to Nolan's Batman 2.
Plus, I watched it solo, and not with the girl that hated the movie from start to finish the first time through. That helped too.
