What, you missed the Predator: SE sitting right next to it? You know, the good movie? okay, predator 2 is NOT a horrible movie. aliens vs. predator is a horrible movie. in some ways predator 2 is actually better, IMHO, than the first predator. -better actors (glover, blades) -a little more action than the first -some interesting scenes on the predator ship true, it has some bad moments, but so did the original.

Which Salem"s Lot is this? The original movie or a series, or what? It's the new mini-series starring Rob Lowe, Rutger Hauer, and Donald Sutherland. Worth a rental if you're interested but not a purchase in my opinion.

The first 15 minutes simply rock, the rest is a weak-ass cop story highlighted by Bill Paxton getting spined. The alien ship was cool, and the cameo by the Alien head was neat. However, the film changes genres at least four different times and by the end of it I didn't know what the hell I was watching. Compare that with the first one which is constant throughout and just frickin' awesome.

See, I LIKED the shift in tones and story in Predator 2. Thought it shook up the ideals from the first. if they'd simply made predator 2 using the same formula as predator 1, they would've chosen another jungle, got another rag tag team of butch mercenaries, found another useless role for a woman whose inclusion i've never understood the purpose for in the first place, and then made a very boring movie. 2 was fun for all the reasons you list as faults, to me

Hey, I see these DVD threads quite a bit. From the looks of them it seems that there are quite a few people that collect DVD's galore. Do you guys actually watch them more than once? I don't mean this in a bad way but just noticed back when in the VHS world I had purchased several movies etc. but after watching once they quickly just became dust collectors. Same thing for the 10 or 15 DVD's that I have purchased. For some reason I just never get the urge to watch them. If you guys do watch them that is cool I was just wondering if anyone else ran into the same thing? Regards, Pig PS. Please don't take this as I am trying to bash anyone at all. Everyone is into what they are into. My wife thinks I am crazy because of all the PC games I have

I'll give The Day After Tomorrow a rental even though it looks like supreme garbage. It's worth a rental for the effects, and for Ian Holm's always great acting. Mike

My wife thinks I am crazy because of all the PC games I have I've got a pretty big collection and for the most part, no, i don't watch them over and over again. but i WILL find myself rewatching something maybe a year or two after purchasing it. with so many to choose from, you'd be surprised how many attain that status sooner than you thought they would plus, it's fun to pull out movies you really like when you find out a friend hasn't seen it yet!
