DUMB & DUMBER TO is back on again, and, according to Bobby Farrelly in his interview with Digital Spy, Jim Carrey has come back aboard, giving the Farrellys the green light to go ahead with the tales of Harry Dunne and Lloyd Christmas.

The script is finished, and, in having to schedule around Jeff Daniels' schedule for THE NEWSROOM, it looks like production may start in the spring for a fall 2013 release... but this will be the Farrellys' next movie period.

As for what type of road trip adventure Harry and Lloyd might be off on this time...

Quote
"I can tell you that there is no growth out of either one of them and it's 20 years later. What is funny about the original is that they're grown men who are complete losers and when the studio came to us about a sequel, we were like, 'Loads of kids are losers and they're dumb.' We didn't see any value in the sequel so we backed out of it, but now these guys are in regular life and they're still basically children at heart."

"The story revolves around the fact that one of them may have sired a child. They want to go and find the child because he's having a kidney problem and he wants to ask him for one of his kidneys."
I'm all for seeing Carrey and Daniels sink their teeth into some Farrelly brothers material once more. Another Carrey-Daniels road trip, with them encountering all sorts of characters discovering their stupidity and having it build to this meeting with the kid, which is a prime spot for a hilarious cameo of who would be the offspring of either one of them...? Count me in.

Another unnecessary sequel. But I'd still likely be IN.

First on is a classic IMO.  Sequel sounds great if maybe years later then it should have been.  Let's hope it's close to equal to the first and not a FLetch lives or Caddyshack 2.
