Do you use an online game rental service? (GameFly, Etc.)

I said no. My local rental store allows me to rent just about any game I want to for $7 for a week. The only games they usually don't have available for rent are the brand new releases. (By this I mean games that have come out in the past month)

If I rent between Monday and Wednesday (which I usually do) I get rent 2 get 1 free rentals. So every week I have three games rented for the week for $14.

This is an extremely good deal to me, beating the cost of even buying the game in most cases. I can get the game play I want out of a game over the course of a month's rental for about $20.

There's no concern of things getting lost in the mail. I can talk to the guy behind the counter about the game, compare notes. He can suggest games for me. He knows what I like and dislike. So it's an awesome situation all around.

Sounds like it!  For somebody like me who doesn't want to deal with people at the counter I think it'd be very cool.

My wife signed up for Netflix a few months ago and I really wish they did game rentals. And unfortunately it looks like they are not in a rush to start offering them either (based on an article I read).

I would love to switch to a service that offered both movies and games.

I rent from Blockbuster or Hollywood Video.  I've heard that Gamefly is having the same problems in shipping delays that Netflix is experiencing, especially for people in the Midwest (like myself).

I honestly don't rent enough to get in on these passes though...movies or games.

I personally use Gamerang.  they are ok, not as good as netflix (dvds) but they have a pretty good selection

Yeah, I keep meaning to start up one of these but something always comes up to stop me.  Like, I'll get in my head that I want to play three or four specific games and therefore should become a member, but then I find a great deal on one of them and just buy it.  This tends to kill my momentum despite my knowing that in the long run it would just be cheaper to rent and get some of these out of my system.  

Something about games compared to movies makes it seem wrong to have a pile there waiting for you to get invested in.  I mean I already have a backlog of my own, and I'm not paying anyone for them to sit on the shelf.

Really, I highly suggest you checkout http://www.gameznflix.com if you haven't already.  The service has been great so far and the site is much better now.  

Anyway, there you have it.  I don't even use it yet myself as I am moving out on July 1.  My friend signed up for the annual plan though and is extremely happy.

I'd consider it if they had a better selection on DVDs.  Right now, I'm more interested in DVD's then games, because games takes me longer to finish.  I don't mind holding onto a game for a month.  That's only $15 worth (saves me $35 a month), but dvd's I can rent how many I want for $15 at netflix.

I don't use anybody right now, but I was tempted to try Gameznflix after I saw a piece including them on (the now departed) Call For Help on TechTV.

So I'm glad to hear about a satisfied user.
