Damn, that's awesome, and looks fairly practical.
Why would that type of arrangement be any less structurally sound than current door design?

I am by no means an expert, it just seems to me that the way it rolls up they wouldn't be able to have as much structural reinforcement in the door as a standard door has.

Great idea! I wonder how much it would cost if they bring it to market tough.

Very cool!!
One negative (IMHO): the rear passengers don't have their own window to put down, so everybody on one side of the car has got to agree that they want the window down.

theres nothing wrong with having no doors on a vehicle. i cruise around all the time in the summer with both doors off on my jeep
and ive killed only 2 of my dogs in the process! (okay that last part was a (terrible) joke - i would cry my eyes out if it happened)

I swear that video looks fake. From the size of the doors it doesn't look like enough ground clarence for them to slide under the car without them either being much more curved or slide out further before going under.

Removed the B pillar... that's not good in a rollover, especially in a car that was long enough to be designed to have a b pillar... that thing looks like it's itching to break in half.
I think the main problem you would have with this system, other than death, would be that it would break all the time.

They aren't going under the car. I thought the same thing until I watched it very closely. They are going below the floor of the interior and the bottom of the car - I think.

Think I can get these installed in my Mini Cooper? That would be sweet.
