It didn't really happen that often for me. Whether it was because I was pretty good about putting the cartridge back in the sleeve or just random luck. The times that the cartridge didn't work I would blow on it though I remember using less breath and more air (Lips being in a whistle shape versus having your cheeks puff out). It is encouraging to see I was doing what was suggested in the article. When I couldn't get it to work the first time I would use isopropyl alcohol.

The real trick was to insert the unruly cartridge just far enough to barely clear the ledge as you press it down. It is known.
