Well a new year and I sadly have the same wallpaper. Throwing out the thread to see if I get any new ideas.

Work:

Been in the swirley smokey looking kick for awhile now.

I'll get my laptop and desktop up when I get home.

Ignore the dual screen; I was too lazy to crop it.

For those who can't read it, it says AWESOMENESS. Underneath that it reads "When I get sad, I stop being sad and be awesome again. True story."

It's a Barney Stinson quote from How I Met Your Mother. Wallpaper can be found at interfacelift.com.

Here is a link to a picture I just set as my desktop. A picture of Saturn, taken from the Cassini Spacecraft. That tiny dot above the left ring is Earth.

Sorry for the huge size, I don't have no Photoshop. Oh and the on-screen keyboard is because I don't have a print screen key.

You on bootcamp? If so I believe it is shift F11 for printscreen. Unless you have the FN keys turned off then it is Shift Fn F11

Haplo, where'd you get that? I'd love a copy.

You'd be surprised how hard it is to find images to fit a dual 22"widescreen and 19" 4:3 monitor.

How do you do this?  As far as putting a picture on dual monitors like that, without being identical pictures?

You have to get an image that's large enough to span both monitors (for example, my combined resolution is 2960 x 1050).  Then you select the image and set it to tiled.  Voila! Goes across both screens.

What’s the point of having a desktop if you don’t use it?  I hate opening the start menu, most days I don’t have to.  My icons form a perfect one icon thick border all the way around my screen.

I agree with you there.  What use is the desktop if you have nothing on there?  It's like having a dining table but never eating at it since it would just cover that beautiful wood.

personally I put alot of stuff on the quick launch menu and will cut down on the desktop icons if they interfere with the wallpaper.  what's the point of having a nice wallpaper if you cannot see it?
