How do you set up two monitors with seperate desktops?  I just got a second monitor on my work computer but I can't figure out how to do anything but clone the same desktop on both of them.

It depends on how your system is set up. I have an nVidia GeForce 4 which has two outputs (VGA and DVI). There's this program called nView as part of the driver that lets you have different desktops. If your setup is similar, I can go into further detail.

Currently its me and my spud when he was an hour or so old. Man, 4 months flies fast, but at the same time feels so long ago.

Easiest thing to do is to pull up the display properties, settings tab, then select the second monitor and select "extend my windows desktop on to this monitor."  If your driver has a program like nView you can also use that like O.DOGG mentioned.
