The chick is just some goth chick I spotted on Google images when trying to find images for Vampire.  As for WoW, I'm a full-on addict, I run it from the desktop and the laptop. smile

For resizing and converting I use a free program called IrfanView.

www.irfanview.com

Best batch conversion and resize utility I've found, and you can't beat the price.

The style is called vector art, basically what you do is take a regular picture and out line it getting every little detail or no detail and then filling it in with different colors. Like the lady I got now the picture it was based off of was horrible it was blurry and bad but the vector artist took that really bad picture and made what my BG is, and  I think it is stunning.

http://browse.deviantart.com/digitalart/vector/?view=1&order=9&limit=24

That is a link to the vector art section in deviant art sorted by favorites so you get the best first. I think vectoring anything is kind of like taking a picture in black and white. Sometimes you get caught up in the detail of a picture but if you vector it it brings out a lot of other things you never saw before.

Hey - that mono game/program is a ton of fun. Very...different, for lack of a better term.

Ron - where did you find that Castlevania pic?

As for my desktop, let's see if Blizzard's wallpapers allow direct linking...:

I have the another one with Batman and Robin on my laptop.  Not a huge fan of Alex Ross but this one was too cool to pass up.

I was using this for a while It freaking rocks

However, I now have a fully customized desktop made by my wife in MSPaint. It's a blue Background with I "heart" You, in Green I can't bring myself to take it off, I came home one day and it was there and I think I like it too much to ever change it.

That is such a cool and sad picture at the same time. Almost depressing to use as a desktop, but it's done so well...

IIRC, kathode is lucky enought to be working at a company known as Bethseda Softworks.. smile  Does that help remind anyone of the game?
