Hey everyone, I just wanted to say thanks for the best gaming community I've ever been a part of.  My deployment orders came a little early and I'm off to another tour early next month in the good ole' Anbar province. 

I won't be online very much from here on out and so this is my farewell for now, and hopefully when I get back I'll still be on a few of your friends list. 

If you see my profile online in xbox live watching movies or playing arcade titles, be nice its my wife

Too bad Yuma is a bit of a haul from Phoenix.  It's about 3 hours of nothing.  And not exactly a place high on my list for weekend visits.  Although isn't Yuma about 9 hours from San Jose?  If so, how do you plan to get there?  If your route comes anywhere near Phoenix let me know.  Tucson is only about 90 minutes away from Phoenix, so even if you travel through Tucson we could still get together.  I know a great wine bar right downtown.  Although I don't think they serve Bud Light.

When I told my wife you were nearing deployment she said, "He'll be fine.  You can never hit the fucker in a game, and that's without any cammo.  With cammo he'll be like a damn ninja.  And he's Asian, so he's already a ninja.  Tell him to come some safe so that we can get back to shooting at him."   

I hope we might get a chance to see you before you leave the states.  I'll at least have a chance to introduce you to good beer. 

Let me know if there will be an address we'll be able to write to.  I'll only have to write once and you'll have something that will take all 6 to 7 months to read through.

Yeah they stock 9mm, BERETTA 92 FS 9mm is the standard issue for Marines.  Need something with more kick so I'm looking for a decent .45 caliber.

I was recently comparing stuff because I've been wanting to get back into shooting... I was looking more at .40 SW stuff, but they generally have the same designs chambered for the big 3 (9mm, .40, .45). The HK USP was what I was originally looking at, but as I did more research the Sig P22x stuff seemed like it might be a little better, or at least on the level depending on what you like.  Are you going to a try before you buy place?  I don't know what you want to spend... they are both kind of pricey, but maybe you get a discount?  That Sig P220 Combat model looks like the perfect fashion accessory for a Marine.  Those S&W Sigma series pistols seem decent for what looks to be considerably less money.

Curious to hear what you get and what you think of it.

I'll be getting the HK Model HK45 V1 Semi Automatic Pistol.  Tried it before and loved it.  The handgun is perfect for my shooting style.  Gonna cost me a little over a grand but at least I pay no tax.

I'm a little confused.  I think you took the picture from the wrong side of the plane.  Or perhaps you mistook your plane for a C-130.  Because I always thought it should look like this:

We get issued the military standard M9 9 mm Beretta Pistol and its ok, but I need more stopping power/penetration due to the fact insurgents are wearing better armor nowadays.  And besides, I chose the juggernaut perk for this tour.
