Don't tread on me

As some of you may or may not know a few weeks ago I had a cancerous tumor taken out of my hear. Sad to say I died.
 icon_wink
No, but they did have to patch my ear back up with a chunk of flesh from my leg. All in all in was not a pleasant experience.
Four days later I got a kidney stone that made every other pain I have ever experienced seem like a paper cut. I went to the VA EMR and eventually they gave me some pain medicine and took a bunch of tests. I'm having a fine baby boy. Or so it feels like.
They sent me home and two days later I was back at the EMR. More pain medicine and told me I'm just going to have to wait it out.
I'm still waiting. This week I go back to the VA to see if it's stuck and if they're going to have to do laser surgery.
Meanwhile chunks of meat are falling out of my ear and the look like bacon. I suppose (i.e. Hope like hell) this is normal.
I have to pee thru a screen and look for anything abbynormal.
The ear thing has screwed up my sense of balance pretty good/bad so I'm enjoying walking into things and falling down.
Other than that I'm peachy keen.
Do you all still want to grow older?

You mean other than peeing through a screen?
and is it your screen? a neighbors screen door? if you use someone else's screen, do they get to keep what comes out or do you retain possession of it?
but seriously, hope it works out. The balance thing should hopefully stabilize over time.. I had ear surgery years ago and it took a while to stabilize..(although I do randomly get dizzy/off balance from it still. Have a habit of looking down when I walk so that I can see where my feet are..)

they'd better, especially if it turns out to be a gold nugget, and doubly so since he may have to dodge bullets in his bathroom!

hope you feel better dbt!

I feel like an idiot, because when you said you died I believed it for a split second and then immediately felt like the stupidest person on earth, as well I should.

Anyway, feel better soon!

Geez, dbt, that makes my broken leg seem not so bad!  Hope you feel better soon - my ex gets kidney stones so I know (somewhat) what you are going through.  If there is anything I (or we) can do, let us know.

XO dbt

Why don't you give the office a call with your good ear and just mention the skin coming off and ask, "Is this normal?" That should be $ free... at least I hope so.

Absolutely disgusting YellowKing! Reading the noun is one thing but adding the Mmmmm takes it to another level... Simpson-ized or not.

Can't you just patch your holes with goat meat? Seems easier than cutting out of yourself to make more holes.

Sorry to read about that. Yeah, getting older is tough. At least I don't have parts falling off (yet).

Get well soon. (Well, as normal as you can anyway)
