sooo...
I've noticed lately, that a lot of people crosspost, and even make us aware of it.
Why do you do so? It kinda seems funny to me, since its the same posts that are here, and on OO, and the same people, and lots of times, the same responses...
should we just go ahead and make a function that posts on both forums at the same time?
btw..this is crossposted over at OO

I think we could make a game out of it. Reply to a thread here over at OO (quote included) in a random thread.
Just to keep everyone on their toes.

I do it on occasion to maximize exposure on the topic because I don't know which Forum will pick up on the topic and run with it.

If the thread title isn't changed, I know enough to skip the thread at whichever forum I visit second. If you change the thread title, I usually get suckered in. Sometimes I realize that it happened to me again, and I resent that. More often, it's all new to me. I have the memory of a goldfish. Do goldfishes not have good memories? I've never tested them. At least I don't think I have. Maybe I should try playing that card game where you attempt to flip over matched pictures. What do they call it?

I don't crosspost*. I just start topics on whatever board I happen to be on at the time. Best to be an original wherever you may be.
*except for the current GW thread in multiplayer, because we're trying to drum interest.

This seems to be a pretty logical answer. If you want more exposure (for more input), you post at both places. It's really pretty simple. Advertising that you crossposted? I suppose there's a reason for it, but I'm not sure what.

I used to go to OO, but I don't really go anymore. I get more gaming conversations here, which is why I'm on forums to begin with.

I don't mind cross posts because I see that sometimes one or the other forum will make the topic fun. I do dislike posters on one forum putting down other forums, as exhibited in this thread.

How is saying you don't go to another forum putting it down? BTW I don't go to OO either so I don't really care. I'm not sure why it has to be known that a certain thread is crossposted....I guess if people wanted to go over there to see if the same post got more responses or something. People could be cool and all imbed link to the OO post and vice versa for ease of use for people who care but then you would assume those people that clicked the link already go to both forums so that in of itself nulls that energy you spent doing that. In any case I'm just bullshitting and creating this reply because I'm bored at work when I don't particularly care about the topic at hand anyway.

Three months? They got me beat. Yesterday when I went to sign a check I couldn't remember what year it was. So I figured I'd cross reference by my age and I couldn't remember how old I was. I am so screwed.

When I cross post I mention it because someone always comes along and says "didn't you say this at xxxx?"

I only crosspost at/from/to OO when I'm simultaneously online at QT3 and GAF and I've had a piece of toast.
I like toast. And I'm not crossposting that. It's exclusive to GT!

I wasn't honestly aware of the generally accepted policy on this, so I wanted to make it clear. I wanted to get a wider variety of opinions, and as previously stated, two identical posts can take completely different directions due to who posts where.
