I am a Naruto junkie. I can't help it. I love that little guy. It doesn't help that the Anime kicks all sorts of ass. I just wish I could easily get all the episodes. I hate having to check cartoon network to watch it. There was a Japanese DVD collection for like $200 but it is out of production.
I don't know how to describe it. It's not like Naruto is the most original Anime on the planet(so much so that I've seen a fight comparison bewteen it and Cowboy Beebop and they are Identical), but it just has a charm to it that is irresistable. It's not overly cheesy like Dragonball, and even though you know Naruto could be a badass, it's refreshing to know he's such a goober. Maybe it's the whole "Ninja Society" thing, but on the whole I love this series so far, and wish I could watch it all at once.

I have a confession also: I hate anime. All shapes, forms, eras and everything else, I hate it.

I was an ubeliever like you. Anime annoyed the hell out of me. It was all the same crap with different skins, but then I watched Naruto... Something about that knucklehead. Maybe I am a sucker for idiots who succeed... I am looking at you ATB :icon_eek: :slywink:

I wasn't really able to get into Naruto, but what do I know? I'm currently watching Inuyasha.
I tried Full Metal Alchemist and couldn't get into it, but I saw some things recently which made it seem interesting. I think the trick with a lot of anime series is seeing it from the beginning. A few I've really jumped in with both feet right in the middle of a show, like Gundam Wing, but GW has giant fricken robots and lots of action. What's not to like about that?

FMA is all kinds of awesome. But, yeah, it really has to be watched from the start. Airbender? Is the Naruto series related to the Avatar series?
Nope, not at all.
