Just a Sunday thought waster before the day starts:

Superman:  If it is a total, reboot, let's really do it.  I was never fond of the Donner/Byrne interpretation of Krypton. Some one said once that it looks like an old planet ready to die instead of the tragedy of a vibrant world snuffed out. I want the new movie to go back to that, the diamond mountains, the forests, thought beasts running in heards, fire falls, etc. No more Chrystal Buildings.
NO more Smallville growing up,stuff. Unless the writer has something new to say, we've seen that part to death. I'd rather an extended life on Krypton bit than more . No problem with the Kent's being otherwise in the movie.
Clark Kent more along the lines of the old George Reeves Tv series. I Like the Chris Reeves one, but I just don't see that Clark as a tough investigative pulitizer prize winner.
Clark and Lois not together?  No problem there. I am old enough to remember that married Superman is a new story line.

Sandman:  Leave the main story alone for now. How about an HBO/Showtime/Starz/ insert your favorite cable channel adaptation of the Song for Orpheus one shot. Arecognizable myth and the opportunity to introduce the Endless. Also, if a series does come of it, Orpheus and Calliope are already established, saving some intro time.
