I've also heard that ABC has finished filming the last episode of Pushing Daisies and have yet to order more episodes. maybe the fans can send in a ton of pies to save it. I figured Slaters series wouldn't last long, and I guess I can remove it off of my DVR as I don't expect any real resolution with only a few episodes left.

The demise of My Own Worst Enemy doesn't surprise me, but the end of Pushing Daisies certainly makes me sad

Ditto on the sadness at hearing about Pushing Daisies. Heroes develops into a show of untold suckitude and gets backing from its network, while a great show like PD dies a quiet death. It ain't fair, folks...it ain't fair.

I just caught up with all the episodes to Chuck. Wow, what a great show. Reminds me a bit of Reaper, but the formula is pretty common these days.
And yeah, it's seriously stupid that Heroes gets continued but Pushing Daisies gets canned.

Excellent episode tonight even if you could see the cliffhanger coming and who knew Casey could sing?

Agreed. I think that is one of the things I like about the show so much. They knew everyone would see the "cliffhanger" coming from ten miles away, but they didn't give a rip and did it anyway. I'm starting to like Chuck's friends from the Buy-More more every episode. The Indian guy and the drunk loser guy just crack me the hell up.

Argh!
Okay, so I visited wikipedia to refresh myself on episodes and to get a preview for this last episode.
Unfortunately, wikipedia also has huge spoilers for the remaining episodes this season. So, don't go there.

How can we NOT love a show that works a Vogon Poetry reference, Comic Con stickers and the line "Ask the Injun!" into an episode.

Zachary Levi is soooooooo HOT OK OK the episode was great again, I can't get enough of Adam Baldwin. Not sure I liked the rather obvious twist at the end, kind of an easy out for the relationship issues, but of course this does lead to massive catfight potential, which is clearly more important.

...and the line "Ask the Injun!" into an episode. I laughed so hard at that! Jeff is rapidly becoming my favorite character on Chuck. And that's saying something when each member of the ensemble is so well cast.

The shower scene cracked me up. I enjoyed the fast pace of the episode, and Morgan's battle with the assistant manager. I didn't catch who directed last night's episode, but I hope whomever it is gets to do more. Ellie and Awesome were completely MIA (I know some are happy about it, but I enjoy them), but it looks like they'll be at the center of things in a couple episodes when Bruce Boxleitner and Morgan Fairchild are the Guest Stars Du Jour.

Highest rated show of the season, with about 6.9 million viewers. At this rate it's catching up with Heroes.

You know, Chuck has a lot of the same personality ticks that Ned has from Pushing Daisies, maybe that's why I like the show so much.

Does anybody know what the song is that plays at the end of this latest episode?
I know who it is, somewhere in my mind, but I can't put my damn finger on it and it's drivin me nuts.
*edit*
Got it! Song's called Keep Yourself Warm by Frightened Rabbit.

There's a music thread on the official Chuck forum. The songs known so far from this last episode are: Frightened Rabbit – “Keep Yourself Warm” The Republic Tigers – “Buildings And Mountains”

A hint on an upcoming guest star... Aahh, now, are you going to go ahead and have those TPS reports for us this afternoon? Good news rating wise. Apparently Dancing With the Stars is going into Thanksgiving-Xmas hibernation, so it'll be interesting to see if Chuck (which will continue new episodes) can get a little bump from that.

Unfortunately it looks like there will be no Chuck, Life, or Heroes on during January. Not sure if they still plan to air the Chuck 3-D episode after the super bowl or not.

Some good ratings news - this week's Chuck on Monday had its best ratings of the season and a measurable jump to about 7.25. http://chucktv.net/2008/12/02/chuck-sees-ratings-bump/An estimated 7.25 million viewers tuned into watch Casey confront his sensei last night, giving Chuck a nice 10% bump in viewership. While I liked the episode, it's probably due as much to that 900-lb. Dancing With The Stars Gorilla getting out of the way, for the time being. The bad news? Chuck and Heroes are both getting pre-empted throughout January in favor of mostly reality TV and junk programming. So, so much for taking some ratings momentum into the new year. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/12/03/AR2008120303862.html"Medium" will return Feb. 2, airing after "Chuck" at 8 and "Heroes" at 9. But in January, NBC will fill Monday nights with another two-hour reality series, "Superstars of Dance," [Give me a freaking break, NBC!-bj ] followed by Ryan Seacrest's new reality series, "Momma's Boys," which will come in at a shockingly slim one hour each week. Good grief, NBC can't even come up with an original reality show idea now.

i was wondering that as well. they made a reference to her either this last episode or the one before it when Morgan mentioned that he was bored since Anna was out of town for some seminar or other event. ...and Superstars of Dance??? Are they TRYING to be network for everyone over 75???

Would whomever invents a time machine kindly make your first order of business to execute the producers of Survivor and American Idol preemptively at a time before they influenced the networks to crap up the airwaves with reality TV?
Thanks a bunch

That's amazing! I of course did not see this week's episode of chuck, because the idiots at my local NBC station decided to pre-empt it with some christmas crap or something, and instead are playing it on sunday night at 11:30pm.

You can catch it now on Hulu.com or NBC.com. It just might be the best episode of the season. Not too much on the whole soap opera drama and plenty of fun action.

It's actually been nice to have two weeks off from the 'everyone is fulcrum' storyline this season's been sporting. Got caught up last night. Chuck vs. The Delorean - great episode. Gary Cole - great actor.

Awesome Chuck tonight! (imho). I loved seeing Reginald VelJohnson (the Twinkie-eating cop in Die Hard 20 years ago) back in uniform, as Big Mike's brother (or was it cousin?) no less, great casting. It was pretty cool to see Michael Rooker (Cliffhanger, Portrait of a Serial Killer). At first you think he's just being wasted as a bland police officer... and then it gets interesting. Everybody on the cast got something to do. It just killed me when the announcer at the end chimes in, "New Episodes of Chuck starting Feb. 2!" Oh well, back to gaming at 8 p.m. Mondays I guess.

Intense episode! Spoiler for Hiden: Sarah really got the crap kicked out of her for a bit there. I'm not a big fan of the "misunderstand the situation" romance plot, but I guess you have to admit that a guy would be pretty freaked out if he saw his chick assassinate someone in cold blood. Poor Morgan . And it really sucks that we have to wait til Feb 2 to see the new one, which will be the Chuck in 3-D episode. I guess it will be on opposite 24 huh? That's gonna suck.
