It's all about the overkill.  After 40,000 of the same-style posts, the impact is lost.  Also it's not like the CKBot9000 is picking the best ones to post.  I think it's algorithm is more random than that.

Charlie Sheen to cash in on Twitter

The former Two And A Half Men star joins a long list of celebrities - from Britney Spears to Snoop Dogg - with a deal to deliver product endorsements on Twitter.

Sheen said he planned to make $1m (£614,000) by the end of this year after signing with Ad.ly - a firm that sets up social networking endorsements for 150 brands.

"It's a cash cow," Sheen said of his Twitter page, which gained one million followers in just one day.

While Sheen is yet to endorse anything, the power of his tweets is clear.

Others have jumped on the bandwagon as the Red Cross sought blood donors by tweeting: "We may not collect #tigerblood, but we know our donors volunteers have fierce passion for doing good!"

McDonald's put a spin on the trend, tweeting: "Despite all the rumours there r no plans 2 bring #mclobster or mcsushi 2 the US menu. We r working on a new menu item called McWinning."

Rapper Sean "P. Diddy" Combs tweeted early on Tuesday: "@charliesheen can u please send me the address to ur house? Ive been dreamin about a party like this all my life #winning! See u soon! Lol"

To which Sheen replied: "Get dressed my man… sending the driver..!"

Ah, the love celebrities like to shower on heroin addicts.  It's really touching.  Let's hope that Sheen's kids get back to Casa de Gomorrah by Sunday so they don't miss Swingers Night.  It would be shame if those young 'uns weren't given the chance to pick up an STD before they turn 8.

Charlie Sheen is "absolutely" convinced "Two and a Half Men" will return, with "a few adjustments," he told a Philadelphia radio station Friday.

"I think we're getting close to something. I don't want to say what," he told Wired 96.5's "Chio and Shila" show, which scored the interview by flying a plane over Sheen's house with a banner asking him to call.

"But it just feels like the worm is turning. It feels like all parties -- myself excluded -- are finally waking up," Sheen said. "It's like some hot springs in Middle Earth is finally ready to explode outward and say, 'Here is it, here it is, embrace this man, embrace this man.'"

People love batshit crazy!   Charlie is like a guy pouring gasoline all over himself.  People are gonna watch, if for no other reason than to be there when he finally strike a match.

Part of the interest for me is seeing just how much lower he can possibly go.  If he weren't rich and a celebrity he'd be on the streets or dead.  Someone posted a link to some horrific before and after photos of addicts a couple of weeks ago, and Sheen looks like he's somewhere between an addict "After" picture and a corpse.

Warner Bros. Television announced today that it has dropped the actor from its hit comedy Two and A Half Men. “After careful consideration, Warner Bros. Television has terminated Charlie Sheen’s services from `Two and A Half Men’ effective immediately,” according to a studio statement.

No decision has been made on the future of comedy. CBS still has a deal in place with the studio for a ninth season of Men, which remains the most-watched comedy on television.

I'm not sure people would turn in for "One and a Half Men." Steve Carrell filmed his last episode of "The Office" last week, so he's available.
