Man, the hysteria regarding swine flu is absurd. It's actually less dangerous than the regular flu, yet nobody would post a thread about someone at PAX having that, would they?

I had virulent, full-blown Ebola with a hint of herpes and I was at PAX and I don't see the media saying anything about ME.

I think the problem is that "some" young and healthy people have just up and died from it, literally... so that makes all young and healthy people afraid of it.

For once I can thank god/ fate/ goodness/ or anything else that I'm no longer A) young, and B) healthy.

Rock on, you kids!  And yeah, get off my lawn with your stinking Swine Flu!

I don't think that's the only thing that worked it's way around the show floor. Twitter was packed with bits about people feeling really sick at the show and after leaving before anybody ever mentioned the swine flu thing.

Come on it was the first time many of those people had been out of the house in months, of course their immune systems couldn't take it!

THANK YOU. Bloody hell I'm tired of the hysteria bullshit over this thing. The regular flu is FAR more dangerous than this swine crap.

i think the hysteria over it is due to the fact that this is pretty much still a very new strain of Flu....and already in the half a year or so,its managed to quite a few people while thousands more are infected...yes its not as bad as regular Flu,but its still early days for this strain...

we have this hysteria over other Flu's that happen every few years,like Bird Flu a few years ago,only this Flu(swine) has not pretty much disappeared like that Flu(and the others) did

the planet was getting overpopulated anyway icon_lol ninja

Swine Flu Symptoms from This Page
    *  unusual tiredness,
    * headache,
    * runny nose,
    * sore throat,
    * shortness of breath or cough,
    * loss of appetite,
    * aching muscles,
    * diarrhoea or vomiting.

Common Flu symptoms from This Page

    *  Fever (usually high)
    * Headache
    * Muscle aches
    * Chills
    * Extreme tiredness
    * Dry cough
    * Runny nose may also occur but is more common in children than adults
    * Stomach symptoms, such as nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea, may also occur but are more common in children than adults

so obviously...if you have all those symptoms with Unusual tiredness,you have Swine Flu...if you have all the above but with Extreme tiredness,you have normal Flu

looks like unusual Tiredness and Extreme tiredness is a whole world of difference,LOL
