And nobody is surprised:

http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/bloodrayne/

Scoring a whopping 7% right now, it looks like it might be even worse than his previous 'works'.

Word is Germany's government already closed the loophole that allow him and his investors to make money off of bad movies.

I wonder if that'll affect the current crop of movies too.

That means he's out of money folks.  Hurrah!

Uwe Boll says Bloodrayne gets a thumb up!
Yeah, he should get a thumb up where the sun don't shine.

Yeah, but I don't think it will affect movie deals already inked, like Dungeon Siege, Far Cry, Postal, Hunter: The Reckoning or Fear Effect.

Actually, it may make it so that those movies are never made in the first place.  I mean he may have the movie option for those licenses, but now that his investors don't have a tax loophole to use, they won't fund him for any of those projects.

From what I read, Dungeon Siege is funded already (groan) and Far Cry is in final funding stages.  The rest of them might get killed.

Postal?  Uh...wtf?

Some friends and I wanted to see this tonight, but it turns out that it's only playing in one theater in the entire state of Massachusetts.  That's pretty amazing, and it makes me wonder what the future is for this underappreciated genius's later works.

Oh well, Netflix it is!

So how does this movie work, exactly? Instead of the stress of having to watch the film, does the film instead, watch you?

There is always my 1000th to look forward too.

Why is this guy the "Chosen One" for directing all game related movies?  They continue to suck but yet the studios keep hiring him.

I wonder if they are doing this more ot ensure the genre dies before it gets good, or if they like to torture us.

I cant fathom another reason to make so many piss poor movies

Perhaps we could convince him to do a Silent Hill movie on location?

Or we could coonvicnce him to remake street fighter... And before he does it, we could argue if it could possibly be much worse

He can't possibly make Street Fighter: The Movie any worse than it was in the first place. Stealth speedboats anyone? biggrin

Wow, why all the hate?

I saw Blood Rayne last night and while not the greatest movie in history, it certainly wasn't the worst either.
The underwater catfight between Rayne and Catherine (Michelle Rodriguez) was HOT!

Quality seemed good as well, it didn't look like some low-budget just thrown together to bring in some extra cash.
There were plenty of big-name actors casted (they even had meat loaf in there)
Action scenes looked well producted, plenty of violence and blood.

The story was there, although not the best in the world. I really had no problem with this movie at all and can't seem to understand why it's got such negative press.
Actually I think I can - because of the director. If this were the same exact quality movie but had a "better" director, I'm sure opinions would be much higher.

Again, this isn't Troy with Brad Pitt(my favorite movie of all time) - this is Blood Rayne - it's sexy, violent, and looks good doing it.
