SO I just got back from my local blockbuster (who have been in the process of converting about 1/4 of the store to their new GamesRush thing) to swap out my GamersPass game rental for one of the new games that came out this week, and with the intention of pre-ordering Halo 2 since i saw that they were also going to have the midnight sale next week as well. (mainly because I figure everyone else in the world will be going to Ebgames, babbages, etc - and so this brand new little store shouldn't have the crowds the other ones will)

But the clerk there tells me that Blockbuster has some rule where they stop taking pre-orders a week before. So the last time I could have pre-ordered it was on Monday.  He also tells me that they're getting 20 copies for rentals, 37 copies for sale and have only sold 6 pre-orders so far.

I tried to explain to him how no other gaming store in town has restrictions like this, and how it seemed silly to me that I'm sitting there - ready to fork over my money and instead they'd rather push me to go somewhere else just because I'm a day and half late?

and for a second there - I was thinking that maybe Blockbuster might have a good thing with their new game store.
