My DVR crapped out last night and I lost the LOST episodes for the past 2 new showings.  Along with several Battlestar Galactica episodes.

I used the suprnova website for getting TV shows that I missed due to forgetting to setup the DVR.  Does anyone have a good replacement website.  I've not found a reliable one since they shut down.

Of course, you can PM me, rather than replying, I'm sure someone will pull out the copyrighted software card.  Yes, I know you can download "Bad Things" from bittorrent, but I'm just intersted in the TV shows.

Thanks in advance!

Being that I work nights, I've been pulling them from Usenet, but that's just me.  Good luck finding it. smile

Be aware, the powers that be are busting people for downloading TV shows too.  Just because its 'free' on TV doesn't mean its free to download.

LOL!  What a great topic in light of the fact that  one of the largest BT sites was just shut down by the MPAA

They are about movies but hey TV is probably not legal to download either.  Although it is much more of a gray area.

Yep and they are sifting the logs of that site.  Anyone else feel the hand of violation up the skirt of civil liberties?  Oh wait, we gave those away didn't we....

Wow and all this time I didn't even know that site existed.  I used supernova almost every week to pick up a show to watch during lunch at work...but never went to Loki.  oh well.

Thanks for the help!

Just think of all the e-mails that'll be sent out to many, many, many high-speed internet subscribers over the next month or so because of this.

Why try to actually track down people who've downloaded stuff, when you can 'acquire' one of the larger torrent tracking sites and just dig through their server logs?

That reminds me, I heard on NPR this morning that even though the MPAA has shut down the 3 major BitTorrent sitses, traffic hasn't even stalled.  It's actually increased.  Some agencies say that 1/3 of all bandwidth in the US is being used by Torrents.

If I can find the link to the article I'll post it here.

the question is, if loki knew they would be brought down, why would they keep the server logs of the users that had accessed the site when they saw the hammer fall?  i guess they made a deal to deliver the user's info in exchange for a lighter sentence.

I have a great way to get TV shows.

Search google for “Lost Torrents”

Scroll down till you see a hit that has the address

http://www.freewareweb.com

Go there and download to your hearts content.

I can’t find the torrents from just going to the root address, only through google.

I get the OC, Lost, 24, Alias & Smallville using this method.

Sorry corrupt, can't post links to torrents or other similar warez sites.

Thanks for understanding.

Unless something is new it was never stated that Loki has any logs to go through, merely that he was ordered to hand them over. Then there are the people that claim that the site took the 40+k to pay off the MPAA.
