Wow, he was on Conan last week promoting his new show. He, like MJ, was 50. So odd!
Conan gave him a hard time, and I was glad for it, as I'm not a big fan of his. But he was good at his job.

but wait, there's more!Rough landing Saturday Tampa area media outlets reported that Mays was a passenger on a U.S. Airways flight that made a rough landing on Saturday afternoon at Tampa International Airport, apparently blowing its front tires in an incident that left debris on the runway.
Tampa Bay's Fox television affiliate interviewed Mays after the incident.
"All of a sudden as we hit you know it was just the hardest hit, all the things from the ceiling started dropping," MyFox Tampa Bay quoted him as saying. "It hit me on the head, but I got a hard head."
U.S. Airways officials said Sunday they could not immediately confirm that Mays was a passenger. I wonder if he ddin't get knocked in the head a little too hard.

His segment on Conan was hilarious. Actually gave me some respect for him.

annoying he may have been, but he turned infamy into fame and how many late night tv pitch men could say that?
bad products or no, he is iconic.

Watching the show Pitchmen gave me a great appreciation for Billy Mays. He truly seemed like a good guy, something you wouldn't have guessed given how annoying his commercials could be.

Surprising news. He seemed like a nice guy, but I didn't care much for the commercials. RIP Billy Mays.

He seemed like a nice guy, but I didn't care much for the commercials. RIP Billy Mays. That's about how I felt. Can't stand the yelling, but I've seen a couple of the Pitchemen episodes and he seems like a genuine guy. If you're interested in seeing the spot when Billy and Sully were on Conan, they have it here.

That is the way I feel. I thought he was extremely annoying until I watched Pitchmen. He seemed like a nice guy who genuinely tried to help people get their invention to the market.

Me neither, but I haven't seen a TV commercial since the VCR was invented. It's funny because I never watch live TV myself, and yet I somehow get exposed to commercials. I think it is when I am out an about.

I honestly didn't care about Billy Mays, in fact, I hate him. That is until I watched Pitchmen. He seemed like such a great guy on that show and you couldn't help but love it when he was on the screen. He's loud and larger than life but so much fun to watch. I feel bad for Sully I wonder if Pitchmen will go on without him? It's one of the few new shows that's found it's way onto my DVR.

looks like it may be heart disease instead.Mays suffered from hypertensive heart disease... No evidence of exterior or interior head trauma was found during Mays' autopsy, Adams said well, if that's the cause, then that clears the airline of any negligent wrongdoing. of course, i'm not entirely sure yet. hypertension + an unseen trauma could very well add up to a sudden death where it would have just left a healthier person with a headache.

Not to turn this thread into me being pissed about how shitty CAD is. I understand what that comic is trying to do but it shows no life. Billy Mays is really vocal and he moves a lot when he talks and that comic shows nothing of the sort. But Billy Mays III seemed to enjoy it so that has to say something I guess.

So it seems the autopsy found cocaine in his system, along with alcohol, prescription narcotic pain killers and tranquilizers.
