Today I attended the Crimson Tide spring game.    On hand was 92,000 other fans which is thought to be the biggest attendance of a spring game in the history of college football.    The era of Nick Saban is here!   ROLL TIDE baby!

other than the fact that I am not happy that Nick Saban is a fat liar, I only wish I could've been there for that.

The fire marshals closed the gates at the end of the 1st quarter and started turning people away because the stadium had exceeded safe capacity.    The crowd was huge.   Took us hours to get out of Tuscaloosa.    The tailgaiting was crazy... just like a real game.  Definately an experience I won't soon forget!  thumbsup

Have you ever been to the state of Alabama? Alabama and Auburn football are pretty much the reason for living in the state.

And apparently the record was indeed broken both SEC and nationally:

Quote
The crowd set a Southeastern Conference and national spring record. The previous SEC record was Tennessee's 73,000 in 1986.

A friend of mine is a Tuscaloosa police officer.   He said they could only report the capacity numbers since it was impossible to tell to the person how many people were in the stadium.   It was standing room only -- and the police estimate the numbers closer to 97,000 before the fire marshalls forced the gates closed for safety reasons.
