Anyone watching this show?  The first season's on Hulu, and it's hilarious.  It was made by the guys behind Andy Richter Controls the Universe, and it's a similar premise with a better-looking main character (which is why my wife watched  disgust ) but the same style of humor.  Highly recommended.

I picked it up during the last run, but probably missed an episode or three.  Looks like it's coming back on for season two on Dec. 8th after Scrubs.

We were talking about it here for a bit.

It's a great show, and I'm looking very forward to the second season.

I watched the first season, and I though it was pretty funny especially if you have worked in a corporate environment before.

I heard good things and wanted to try and watch season 1 before season 2 started but they didn't play reruns apparently and the DVD doesn't come out until after the premiere...smart.

My wife and I have been watching this on Hulu as well.

The first for or so episodes are brilliant. From 5-9- as far as we've gotten- are funny, but not as awesome as the beginning of the season.

It's a great show though, no doubt.

I don't know why they don't do a better job releasing DVDs to give folks a chance to catch up before a new season starts.  Maybe they actually make more on sales, but I doubt it.  And even so, they shoot themselves in the foot, long term.

So Better Off Ted has been back for a couple of weeks now, and it's doing terribly in the ratings.

Please watch this show!!  It's extremely funny.

That's sad to hear, I love the show and Portia De Rossi is fantastic in her role.  I hope the ratings improve soon.

No word yet, but if you look here, the only thing below it is Ugly Betty, which has already been cancelled (despite a surprising creative comeback this season).

It doesn't look good.  The only things going for it are that I'm sure it's cheaper to produce than a lot of other shows, and it's still relatively new, if they want to give it a chance to find its deserving audience again.

It was a fairly big surprise that it got a second season (or first full) season. No surprise it's dead.

It was cute and quirky though I never found myself watching it every week.

Well, this is another show cancelled before it got it's footing.

It really could have had the potential to do as Seinfeld did- start out slow and build into the biggest show on TV- it was that clever and well cast.

Sadly, I bet Modern Family is going to have the same fate befall it.

It shouldn't.  It's one of the biggest hits of the year and has already been renewed for a second season.  Along with The Middle and Cougar Town, it's also helped revive the traditional sitcom.

That said, strange of ABC to wipe out so much of their lineup. Are they the ones with the big reality TV shows?

It's true.  I've already had the funeral.

The worst part, for me, is that I went to a party and did my best to talk the show up and get people excited.  Every time I opened my mouth about it, this female friend would pop in with, "No.  The best show is Modern Family.  Oh, I love Phil!*  Did you see the one where..." and she would proceed to quote lines, though everyone had said they'd seen it.  I blame her for killing Ted.

I like Modern Family, but it's doing fine and has been since it debuted.  Why would she not let me promote something else?   It's like I started talking about how terrible it is that dolphins are being killed, and she interrupted with, "Who cares?  I love house cats!"  Grrr.  She did the same thing with BSG vs Friday Night Lights.

*Full disclosure:  I find Phil to be annoying as hell.  The only thing I don't like about the show.

I resolve to never watch the show, and if your female friend were to need a ride to the airport, I will politely decline.

Have at thee, ABC!

Romantically Challenged getting the axe doesn't surprise me.  Better Off Ted was well and truly gone months ago, and I have made my peace.  Scrubs - The Next Generation didn't hold my interest at all, and FlashForward was purged from my DVR before the midseason break.

I'll difinitely give Matthew Perry's new show a look this fall.  Hopefully it fares better than Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip did.

This sums up my feelings exactly (although I enjoyed the new Scrubs a bit, but it got the boot when something else was on at the same time).

I watched (instant Netflix) all 13 episodes of Season 1 over the past few days.

I had seen a handful of the shows when they aired originally, but not all. Watching them back-to-back-to-back was awesome. I loved every minute. All the characters are good, but my favorites are Lem and Phil. smile

Unfortunately, Season 2 isn't ready yet. I'm very disappointed that this show is gone.

On a separate note, it was also sad looking back at this thread and seeing DamageInc's comments. I miss having him around. frown

Been rewatching this show on Netflix and it's an exercise in joyful fatalism.

Each episode is so good, but with each one watched, I'm closer to the end.

It's a crime that this show got canceled.

WOO Better off Ted!
I didn't see this until I got Netflix recently and WOW, it's fantastic.
Admittedly, shows like this are better when you don't have to wait a week to see the next episode. Better of Ted marathons are almost every bit as good as doing Arrested Development marathons, or Trailer Park Boys marathons.

Really strong show. My 3 favorite characters are the 3 leading females, they're all incredible. I just got done watching s2 again yesterday. Really entertaining.
