done with Bryan Singer, and possibly a complete re-imagination of the series?  isn't a bit too soon to be doing something like this?

Caprica isn't a re-boot, it's a prequel to the Sci Fi channels BSG series.  it sounds like this movie is going to be separate from the TV series.

Ah, yes , I know that Caprica takes place before the latest incarnation of Battlestar - What I meant was, I assume Caprica features the same actors/characters as the latest BSG incarnation, and that will seem strange if they dont get the same cast on the new movie/possible tv-show

Caprica takes place decades before BSG and will not feature the same actors/caharacters.

I predict another Terminator Salivation -- how is releasing a movie that ignores the events of a recently popular TV series ever going to be a good idea?

(I may be a little biased since I'm currently watching BSG for the first time, and just reached the end of season 2).

A re- reimaging of BSG?  Starbuck as a hermaphrodite?  We had a man and then a woman, after all.

Edited to say  maybe a 'socialator' this time....

Battlestar finally done right.  Here's hoping it follows the classic 70s show.  Yep, robotic dogs and all.

Cylons are human and one wears a sexy red dress?  Stupid from day one.  icon_lol

I love the most recent series (and am currently rewatching it on glorious bluray right now), and I think that that one will always be my favorite, but I'm a little curious to see what he'll do with it. I mean, it is silly to go back to that well so soon after the series if they're not going to go off of the series, but that's out of my hands, so even if it is cheesy, I'll always have my blurays.

I thought the TV series was one of the worst things I ever saw on television, so maybe this movie will be worth watching as good Sci-Fi anything is so hard to find at times.

Well it did start getting pretty weird and shitty after season 2ish. The first season and the episode "33" were amazing.

I wonder if he'll hire Ian McKellen to play Adama if this actually happens.

I bet John Ottman would edit it and score it, too.
