So I worked on something for an hour & a half on Friday for my boss and she just asked me for it.  I put it in her box Friday.  She said she took it home with her to work on (she didn't work on shit).  So now I have to do it again.

In other news, I have an interview on Friday doing the same thing I'm doing now but making $14K more a year with $10K+ bonus potential.  I really hope it works out.

Is this the same boss who pulled the  "I told you to do this" presentation thing on you after you sendt a letter to your coworker about her?  Or was that someone else?

Sounds like you might be on her bad side now and she won't be sad to see you go. (If I have my stories straight)

Good luck! I'm living proof that a bad work experience can lead to better things. I got canned from a good paying job, a lousy commute and no career growth. It took 6 months, but i got a much better paying job, shorter commute, better company and better for my career.

I actually took a horrible job in the interim, paying half of what i was making, just so i could get some income. I was at a real lowpoint, doing crap work and being depressed. I made getting a better job a full time job in itself. Somehow I was able to convince my current boss to pick me over better credentialed people. It took many years, but i had finally learned the art selling yourself.

The keywords are Confidence and a Great Attitude and a willingness to do everything to get the job done. It also helps if you can somehow convince your future boss that you can make them look better.

Go back and re-read the first post.  OK my mind is in the gutter, but when he said he put it in her box Friday night, and she just asked for it, I thought "I want your job."

Eco-Logic, let me introduce you to the copying machine.

If it's important enough to work on and give to your boss you should be making a copy of it for this very reason. When it's lost, you have your copy and your not redoing work.

Next thing you're going to tell me is that your office is too cheap to have a copy machine, right?

Nah, we have one slywink  I will start copying everything I do now for sure.

Guess what I just found out though?  She didn't take it home at all, she put it in the marketing directors box...  For no reason.  She told me she took it home to work on it...

Gah.

Sounds to me like she is still trying to put you in your place after your email.
