Go to call my dad down in Iraq region and whoops my phone service has been blocked. Great. Get online check my bill, whoops I owe a - 13.80. Ok so I don't owe them any money and my bill is up to date then why the block?! Knowing that to get this solved I'm going to have to deal with them on the phone......oh joy of joys. Call the billing department and the first person who couldn't seem to figure out why was blocked but it wasn't her department.

All she could do was give me a number to the department in charge of screwing people, oh and try to sell me online service. Fine, fine I call the department of screwing people and I begin to explain my situation and she says that she can't help me that this is not her department we only fuck people over here. Well not really she said she'd transfer me back to billing department rather then deal with me. So I told her no I just want the block off my phone and that if my bill is current and I don't owe you any money then why is it blocked. After about 5 minutes of silence she unblocked it without much explanation. Then tried to sell me online service. *shakes head*

I'm about to cancel an ATT credit card.  I wonder how many times I'll have to say "No" to ever increasing pleas of desperation to keep my business--er--fees.

I cancelled my AT&T cell phone service for the same stupidity almost a year ago....I'm happy with T-Mobile now.  I told them that I have been with them for almost 7 years (cell phone service) and that in 2003 was TEH worse year EVAR in customer service.  Get rid of them...they are only going to get worse.

Yeah, I switched from AT&T to Verizon and while there have been a few problems Verizon's customer service is far and above the level I had with AT&T.  I don't even want to go into the AT&T credit cards...they're part of the reason companies like Capital One are taking off (and taking their customers).

T-Mobile used to cut me off for not paying my bill

....before they even sent me one....

AT&T has been smooth sailing for the last year for me.  they all suck, really...

I'm stuck with a crappy local company.  I only wish I could get AT&T.  If I lived a block further south, I could at least get our local bell.
