If you have seen a single episode you would know the Decepticons never win.  They need better leadership.  I would be willing to shift my allegiance and provide real leadership if the requested it.  But everybody HAS to revert to Generation 1 styles, Shockwave must have some kind of bomb implanted inside him so that he cannot double-cross me, Starscream is painted like a clown and becomes the court jester, and Soundwave rules (the old one, not that new shit).

Yeah, but their leader (an SST for cryin' out loud!) was AFRAID OF HEIGHTS!

How can I remember that tidbit from an episode I must have seen nearly 20 years ago and yet I can't remember anything useful?

I was allways a bigger car fan than jet fan.

On top of that the Autobots allways had better 5 piece superbots with the exception of Destructor.

My little brother did some cool things with Soundwave and Cad and some animating program for his portfolio, it actually got him into SCADD, but he can't afford it yet.

Decepticons.  Loved most of em.  Soundwave mostly, but really liked so many of them compared to the Autobots.

Optimus vs Soundwave

My bets have changed. biggrin

Oh, and here's a REAL test clip.

Dinobots were decepticons first.

f*cking traitors.

I always held out hope that it would turn out they were actually decepticon spies faking that they were autobots. Especially when Grimlock was vying to take Opimus Primes place as leader.

[geek] Didn't one of the Autobots create the Dinobots?  It always seemed like their shifting loyalties were based more on stupidity than anything else. [/geek]

The leadership thing always mystified me.  The Autobots always won, had a way better leader, seemed more powerful, and always had the coolest gear.  So why the heck were they always the underdog?

actually, that's Devastator, and he was made up of six little bots.  to back up your idea that the Autobots had better combiners, the Constructicons started off as Autobots but were reprogrammed by Megatron in an episode where you learn the backstory of Omega Supreme.  in addition to making them Decepticons, it was Megatron's reprogramming that gave them the ability to combine into Devastator Cool

and i would think someone could guess my vote based on my avatar.  i have to side with the Decepticons because those were the toys i always had...my brother got the Autobots slywink

Yep, pretty funny smile.  It was great to finally have Autobot jets, and they look great combined.  I still have the original Superion toy and my kids play with it.  Skyfire/Jetfire never really took off on the show.

My son is currently fascinated by this guy, and trying to save enough money for him on eBay:

Omega was probably one of the craziest of the transformers, as he had more magically moved parts then anyone (as he rocket flew, landed, and somehow the tank parts showed up with him).

First: I believe WheelJack created them.

Second: I always thought the dinobots were overrated, but still considered them helluva good.

Third: Grimlock had teh best line ever. To Megatron, quoth he: You stupid and you ugly too!

Fourth: That test is nice, but someone said there'd be an obligatory shot of a person being surprised by a car transforming and I'll be there it is!

Can't remember that Autobots name though.  Didn't care for him. He was too pretty.

Sideswipe. He used to be a Lamborghini Countach. Now he's got a Ford Mustang (92-95ish) front end, and an almost supra backend.

I'd be interested to know if they are using name brand cars, or doing the generic car design thing to avoid licensing much like Burnout games and the Interstate 76/82 games did.

I've always liked the Grimlock line:

Megatron: "I'm not afraid of you"
Grimlock: "Good Megatron, we love stupid enemies..." (In Grimlocks best comic voice)

Can't remember the episodes title, but dealt with an Atlantis like city.  Grimlock had already beaten up on Megatron once in the episode.  Saw it the other day with the kids (one of the couple discs we have).

I more loved the comic, than I did the show.  It got out of hand with all the crazy additonal transofrmer, the guys who had people in thier heads, and what not.  Blah.

Ihope they have a cameo of the chick from the comic who wanted to destroy them all, blonde chick, circuits all over her body.  Always thought she was hot.

I really hope they go more Comic than they do TV Show.

Or, as my buddy ( a car nut) suggested, a late 90's European spec. Honda Accord. (The headlights are much closer to my 98 accord than the mustang; it's the grill that looks almost like a mustang in the video).

The television theme song was great with the robot voices and stuff.  But that has nothing on when they play "The Touch" in the movie.  OMFG I'm pretty sure I could take on Chuck Norris, Vin Diesel, and Jack Bauer all at the same time in a cage match.

have you ever seen the music video?  it doesn't have Prime kicking ass to the song, but it's a cool bit of nostalgia anyway.

that face-off between Prime and Megatron is great...
Quote
Prime: "One shall stand, and one shall fall."
Megatron:  "Why throw away your life so foolishly?"
Prime:  "That's a question you should ask yourself Megatron."
Megatron:  "I'll Crush you with my bare hands!"

all with The Touch playing in the background Cool

I remember the movie ads. They counted down from like 5 days out.

Then after the movie came out the ad had this gem: 'So intense you have to see it twice to take it all in.'

My parents let me stay home from school to see it when it opened.

Spoiler for Hiden:
I wept when Optimus died frown

Meh. I always liked the bad guys, even if they were totally hopeless.

Cobra, The Decepticons, Shredder & Krang, and the list goes on.

They always had the cooler character designs and the better stuff.

So true. I always pulled for Cobra even though it was hopeless.  But for whatever reason- I think it's mostly due to Optimus Prime- I always rooted for the Autobots.

Hugo Boss is a rather famous brand now.  The company makes suits and shoes, perfumes and stuff.  The founder of the company, Hugo Boss, also designed the SS uniforms. Sorry for the confusion!
