It seems that the study which sparked a great scare with parents and doctors alike was a hoax:

http://www.cnn.com/2011/HEALTH/01/06/autism.vaccines/index.html?hpt=C1

Quote
Most of his co-authors withdrew their names from the study in 2004 after learning he had had been paid by a law firm that intended to sue vaccine manufacturers -- a serious conflict of interest he failed to disclose.

In other news, police were called to actress Jenny McCarthy's home this morning when relatives found her curled in the fetal position in her bathroom screaming "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO".

I assume you mean the antivaxxers rather than that site's purveyors.  Take a look at the first quote on the page from McCarthy:

Quote
I do believe sadly it's going to take some diseases coming back to realize that we need to change and develop vaccines that are safe. If the vaccine companies are not listening to us, it's their f___ing fault that the diseases are coming back. They're making a product that's s___. If you give us a safe vaccine, we'll use it. It shouldn't be polio versus autism.

Jenny McCarthy in Time Magazine, April 2009

Also available directly from Time

Quote
People have the misconception that we want to eliminate vaccines. Please understand that we are not an antivaccine group. We are demanding safe vaccines. We want to reduce the schedule and reduce the toxins. If you ask a parent of an autistic child if they want the measles or the autism, we will stand in line for the f___ing measles.

She's advocating that three out of every thousand kids die rather than be immunized over her perceived risk of vaccinations.

Jenny McCarthy is a celebrity from the United States.  She is most well known for posing nude as a Playboy Playmate, for picking her nose on the MTV show Singled Out, and for being the former girlfriend of actor/comedian Jim Carrey.

Also that's just way too much mustard on that hot dog.  It's easier to do if you hold the bottle closer to the dog, and if you look down at what you're doing while you put it on, and if your vaccines are up-to-date.

U.S. measles cases in 2013 may be most in 17 years

Quote
Nearly two-thirds of the reported cases happened in three outbreaks in communities where many people don't vaccinate their children for religious or philosophical reasons.

Shocking! If people don't vaccinate their children they are at a higher risk for getting the disease?

Quote
According to the CDC, one to three out of every 1,000 children in the United States who get measles will die from the disease, even with the best of care. Even if complications such as pneumonia and encephalitis aren't deadly, they can make children very sick; in 2011, nearly 40% of children under the age of 5 who got measles had to be treated in the hospital.

This is all better than the non-existent risk of autism.  Roll Eyes

This. Always overrated like pam anderson.

And agreed on all counts about vaccine wakkos. Except for those who state- truthfully- that the flu shot does nothing but insert a government tracking device into your bloodstream.  Which is part of the reason why I haven't had one in  15 years....and also no flu for that long.

Especially since most Americans cheerfully carry tracking devices already. If you have a cell phone the government already knows where you are at any given time.

Why are contact lenses so expensive when they are nothing more than easily produced tiny pieces of plastic?  It's almost as if the high price was just enough to pay for secret nano-cameras to be built into each one...   paranoid
