Very cool this

First click on the link, and see places around the world like Las Vegas,The Amazon or Dubai and see how they have changed since 1984

but even better,is click on 'Explore the World' and type in where you want to see,and see how it has changed.

Las Vegas is a good one to view, seeing the city sprawling out into the's quite scary actually, and understandable when we're described as a disease on the planet Tongue...but that goes just the same for practically everywhere

Dubai is also a good one to view with the landscape changing so much(manmade landscapes)

It's all done by NASA(off course) and Google

There is also a hell of a lot to read as well with the accompanying article

Watching Phoenix transform from fruit farms to urban sprawl is kinda nifty too.   It's amazing how many farms still exist on the outskirts though.   Very cool.  smile

Oil Sands is kinda sad.

Because I can,
also because I don't care what you want.

It figures. It shows how little my area has changed since then. Looked shitty back then, looks shitty now and looking at that timelapse would lead you to think there's hardly been any development.
