They've got the Braves down 2 to 1, and Clemens is slated to pitch tomorrow.

Did I mention that Houston has baseballs longest home winning streak, at the moment.

Yea.  Can the Rocket come through on short rest?  We'll see tomorrow.

I'm rooting for the two NL Central teams to get to the league championship series. That would make for some outstanding baseball. Boston-Houston is still my World Series pick.

Here's hoping Clemens can do well.  The Astros don't have a #4 pitcher.

Go Astros!

Yanks and Astros

Clemens pitching in NY?

You'll be able to hear the boos all the way from space.

If it goes to game 5, Oswalt will be on the mound.

Well, they -do-, but their #4 and #5 are not as good as Clemens and Oswalt even on 3 days rest.

This needs to be fixed next year, but with a healthy Miller and Pettite, presuming that Clemens stays (likely), you'll have a rather good rotation of Clemens, Oswalt, Pettite, Qualls and Miller.

As I understand it, Miller is not in the picture.  The phrase I heard is that they will 'non-tender' him in the offseason.  I'm not sure what that means though.

And where's the love for Backe?  He just pitched great in two of the most important Astros games EV4r!!!
